Great Time

December 30, 2014
First and foremost this place is awesome, Spent Christmas Holiday there. Our kids first white Christmas woke up to a light dusting of snow :} For the cabin anything you could possibly need is there if its not there then you truly don't need it..... Very clean and very comfortable if you are looking to sit around and watch TV and Facebook. This place is not for you. If you want to spend family time truly this is the place. No cell service with T mobile was very nice to not hear phone ring as an company owner. Spent a couple of nights at the fire pit outside priceless. Kids went exploring and had a wonderful time and we didn't want to leave. But have to pay the bills so back to work. The owner was great to work with called us on the cabin phone. To see if everything was working you wont get that anywhere else. So a note to the owner THANK YOU VERY MUCH.... for the very relaxing time. Will recommend your cabin to everyone I know.

Wonderful Solitude in the Pines

“ Excellent ”
July 28, 2015
This was our first time at Elk in the Pines. Our stay was for sixteen nights and they went by so fast I couldn't believe it when we had to leave. The home is so fully equipped with everything you could need, including a large variety of grilling spices, vinegar, cooking oil, even flour. All you need to bring is your personal food. We drove to Flagstaff one day, but the next time, we will hang our the entire time in the area. Just plan well for your food. The wildlife was fun. We did see one mother Elk and her baby in the distance from the kitchen table. Wish we had had our binoculars! One deer just outside the fence, lots of cows, and one coyote. The owners even provided bird and squirrel feed so you could watch the critters from the porch or the kitchen windows. David was incredible with his response time, within minutes if you texted him. The trails were extensive and the access key to the forest also had a compass on it. Our dog loved running and exploring. You could just feel any tension just melting away while on the porch. Being from the dessert in July it was a wonderful reprieve from the heat. Even had a few thunder storms. Loved every minutes and will be back.
