Description of the Barberino Val d'Elsa vacation b&b rental
My home in.. the Chiantishire,it is an old fascinating farmhose(1700),restructured last year.
I'll desire to have guest that appreciate the Tuscany, its art,its food, its sight.
I 'll insure them a delicious breakfast.,in garden ,where they can relax breathing good air..Thanks to its strategic position, the house is always exposed to the sun; the view is fine with its vineyards, olivegroves, old cypresses and into the distance you can even see the famous medieval tours of San Gimignano (a XI century town). Here the very center of Tuscany and it is a perfect position to reach all most important place of our region.
The house offers its visitors a peaceful and relaxing stay.
During summer guests may be have breakfast beneath the pergola where the beautiful garden and surrounding landscape scenery can be enjoyed.
Each room, individually and elegantly decorated,is furnished in a warm and welcoming style. Guests will be able to enjoy a home-made breakfast conisting of freshly squeezed fruit juice,home-made jam,an assortment of fresh baking and bread, seasonal fruit, coffee and tea.

Wonderful place to stay

December 2, 2006

This B&B was an excellent choice for us. The house was wonderful, the view from the front and the windows was beautiful, and Manuela was a great hostess. She not only cooked a great breakfast each morning, but also drove us to dinner and picked us up each evening since we didn't have a car. All the amenities were very comfortable and the whole stay was incredibly relaxing. The location is convenient to both Siena and Florence, as well as other Tuscan sites. Manuela could not have been more gracious and generous with her home. Our only problem was that we didn't rent a car and I HIGHLY recommend that you do so to stay here. There is a bus very close, but it does not run that frequently or reliably. We had a lot of trouble with the bus and we would have been in trouble if Manuela had not driven us to dinner each night. Without a car and with the bus being less than great, we really struggled to even get something to eat during the day, let alone go anywhere. The nearest village was beautiful, but everything in it was closed most of the time and was a treacherous 2-3 mile walk on a very dangerous road with no shoulder. We ended up hardly leaving the house except for one nightmarish trip to Siena which basically involved about 5 hours of trying to get to and from the house with all of the different types of public transportation we had to take. So definitely stay here, but definitely rent a car and don't rely on the public transportation. Make sure to eat at the pizza place in Barberino--out of this world!

The residence was lovely and we had a very nice view of the countryside. Manuela was a wonderful hostess and took very good care of us. We felt like family! The room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was every womans dream with a big bathtub. The breakfast was out of this world, with fresh breads, meats, fruits, coffee-tea, and juice. We recommend this establishment to anyone looking to stay in the Florence area without being inside the city. Close enough for day trips throughout Tuscany and some surrounding areas.
