Perfect Location and amenities
June 29, 2015
We had a fabulous time at the cabin. The location to nearby sightseeing, swimming, fishing or anything else you can think of is fantastic. The cabin is stocked with everything you need as well as outdoor areas to lounge if you stay put. The only drawback for us was seating in the living room. We had a couple days with periods of rain, four adults and two grown teens. So when chosing to watch television, only so many can sit comfortably. This was a minimal disturbance for us, but feel like it should be noted. Shirley and Jerry were great hosts. Would definitely go back.

Two night stay
September 16, 2014
Stayed here two nights. Booking and payment were very simple and quick. We've stayed on Clam Lake in the past and love the area. Dock for the boat was a short walk across the street. One of the owners lives on site in a house near the front of fhe property. Very nice guy that takes payment and answers any questions you might have. The cabin was very simple. It had everything we needed. Some of tbe cabin appeared roughed in, not completely finished, but that wasn't an issue for us. Actually reminded me of cabins I've stayed in for deer camp in the past. If your looking for a place to dock your boat, with a simple cabin this place fits the bill. If you're someone who is a neat freak that plans on lounging around in a cabin all day rather than being outside enjoying the lakes...this place might not be for you.

Great Family Vacation!
June 25, 2014
On my way home from here and sad to leave. This cabin was a great way to enjoy the great outdoors while sleeping indoors! Jerry and Shirley were great hosts and made us feel welcome to use the property as our own. The cabin was fully furnished- we had 5 kids ages 2-7 and 4 adults and the guesthouse met our needs. The well-stocked kitchen was appreciated and the large sunroom with indoor grill was a pleasure. The TV room was nice for down-time when the kids protested naps. I couldn't say enough about the outdoor space- a sure adventure area for kids to roam and explore the large hills and fields. We brought a slip and slide and water guns- highly recommended! There was a large driveway with sandbox quality sand and the kids had a blast with sand toys there. The kids swam in the shallow dock area as well. I took a refreshing walk around the property (before the kids woke up). Up the hill was a breathtaking view of the lake and nearby properties. I then walked to the field and saw 3 deer, checked out the chicken coop, smelled the gorgeous peony flowers in the garden, and lastly sat down by the dock near the still morning water- priceless peace! At night we loved the bonfire area near the cabin. It was especially nice that we could monitor the cabin from the bonfire area after the kids went to bed. We didn't have to use mosquito spray due to the previous cold winter. Clam Lake was large enough to ez-ski, tube, and fish on. Torch Lake is attached to this lake but we spent most of our time on Clam Lake because Torch was so large and cold in June. Would return and highly recommend for a family vacation!
Wonderful location and host
September 10, 2013
We stayed for a week as Jerry's guests and were genuinely sad when we left -- not just because vacation was ending, but because we knew we'd miss Jerry and his sweet dog, Lady. The property is beautiful; the location is central to so many great places; and the boat ran perfectly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lots of fun at the lake
July 30, 2013
We were so very happy with our host, treated us like family, didn't want for anything the entire week. Cabin was just what we were expecting and very clean. The location gave us the quiet of being in the woods and the convenience of being on the lake, we never expected the negative thing of not being right on the water would turn out to be such a positive. Once again our special thanks to Shirley and Jerry. We will be calling soon to book next year.

the ice has finally left after a long cold winter, water level is up and the fish are fat and sassy. The dock is in and ready for your boat. Hope to see you in the summer .
Time to think about spring fishing. The fish have hid under the ice all winter and should be fat, sassy and ready to bite.
