The View Makes It

September 13, 2014

Our stay was a week. The property is located a bit far from most of the houses on the lake, but that only adds 15 minutes of extra drive time to Bellingham. We would go back again. The view is incredible and you have direct lakefront access. The house is at the beginning of the Lake Whatcom hiking trail. The house could use some improved maintenance and we found some of the utensils and other kitchen/cooking items were old and /or flimsy. There are 2 TV's that are both old types - an upgrade to flat screen would be an improvement. That said, the location made up for all of that. We enjoyed our stay there a lot!

Great lake house for family gathering

July 10, 2014

We rented this fantastic spacious lake house for a family gathering. It comfortably slept 8 and accommodated many more for a family dinner. It has an amazing covered deck with plenty of seating. It had plenty of dishes etc., 2 types of kayaks and was on a fabulous spot on the lake. The house is a little old and dated but clean and highly functional. Would recommend that the second living room area be more functional with a game table or larger tv (tiny one now). Rental agent was helpful, pleasant and accommodating. A great vacation! Would rent again.

Owner's reply:

Hi Danielle and Family!
I'm so glad you had a wonderful time at the Lake! I appreciate your comments and will definitely pass your suggestions along to the owners.
Hope to see you again!

Fall stay on the lake.

October 7, 2012

Spent a three day weekend with 8 family members as a family reunion weekend. Found all the amenities as advertised, the home is very well kept and very clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the equipment that you could need for preparing meals, snacks, etc. The views to the west overlooking the lake and private shoreline are wonderful !! Very quiet setting at this point on the lake ...... would recommend this property rental to friends. Hope to return again......

has potential

June 26, 2012

The house was in a great secluded location and very spacious; however, very out dated. (Except for kitchen). The house has stairs to practically every room (we stressed that we needed something that was elder friendly). We also had half used bars of soap and half bottles of shampoo! Was it cleaned? Also the property had spider webs all over outdoors as wel as poop all over the yard! The house also was not furnished with window coverings or some crucial kitchen appliances, as it states its fully furnished. (Can opener, baking king pans). The house has great potential and is in an unbeatable location with an amazing porch and outdoor area.

family reunion

October 23, 2011

I looked at a lot of places near bellingham for our family to get together and spend a few days. We chose this lake house for the view of the lake and the foothills in the distance according to pictures online, as well as the open comfortable house. We chose well! Whether sunny or cloudy, it is beautiful. The park trail is great for walking or biking and feels as though it was placed for the exclusive enjoyment of this house and it's renters. We found great places to swim from the trail... even in October, though I do recommend wetsuits! I feel fortunate to have found this place and look forward to staying again,

Perfect Lakeside Living

July 28, 2011

We rented from June 18 to July 18 and easily made this our summer home. Easy to accomadate our various groups of family and friends that came for shorter stays. Everyone loved it. Lots of room inside for stormy/rainy days for group games with always a nice quiet space found to read or rest. The neighbors were friendly and included an entertaining otter and a pair of loons nested in the nearby bay. The convenience of a boat lift and dock made boat morrage easy and worry free when the lake got rough. When we win the lottery we will be buying a place just like this one.

Gorgeous home, stunning views!

November 19, 2010

This home offers every comfort for a stupendous vacation! The kitchen is completely outfitted, the beds are comfy, the bedding luxurious. You won't believe the property manager's attention to detail. She knows just how to make each space completely welcoming, right down to the candlelight. The views from nearly every room in the house are of pure Northwest beauty and unimproved lake shore and mountains. The hiking trail begins just steps from the front door. Mountain bikes and a kayak are available. There truly is something for everyone! You won't be sorry you chose this getaway.
