Description of the Bingham vacation home rental
Four season beautiful camp located in Solon, Maine with 3 bedrooms and one bath with frontage on the Kennebec River and the ITS trail (Solon/Bingham Recreational Rail Trail). This home has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, electric stove, full size refrigerator, dishes and microwave.
In the spring season, fishing starts April 1st. Salmon, rainbow and brook trout are just waiting to be caught. Bring your own bike for a nice quiet ride on one of the trails or down a country road. Ride well maintained ATV trails.
In the winter season enjoy snowmobiling on the ITS trail with easy access to Jackman, Greenville or Kingfield where you can stop at one of the local restaurants for a hot cup of soup or expanded menu. There are several well known lakes in the area for ice fishing. Cross country skiing is also another option for your winter vacation. Coming back home you can enjoy the warmth of the woodstove, curl up with a book, watch the snowflakes fall and know that you are in Maine where life is what it should be.
In the summer season you can bring your own ATV and ride on the well maintained trail system for a fun filled trip to Jackman or enjoy the river with fishing, kayaking and swimming. In the evening you can sit by the campfire cook hot dogs and roast marshmallows and enjoy the simple, stress free life of Maine.
In the fall enjoy the changing of the leaves from greens to golds and reds with the reflection in the water is great for memorable pictures that will be in your mind for a lifetime. Trout and salmon fishing is still legal until the end of October. An out-of-state license is easily purchased within a mile from your house. Hunting season starts with birds, moose, deer and bear. Family Vacation

August 17, 2015

Spent a great weekend at this property. Charles and Marsha were great hosts, even taking us upstream with canoe and kayaks to run the river from Bingham to the house. The house is very nice, very comfortable and the perfect layout of Mom and Dad and our 3 adult children. Hope we are able to return some day.

Refreshing, Relaxing Get Away

October 3, 2014

This rental property is ideal for the nature lover in us all. It has all the comforts of home plus easy access to outdoor adventure! The house is beautifully built and decorated in the river/ woods theme.. A small deck, gas grill, side yard for games, and a large open area with lots of seating around a large well made fire pit. Fire wood is provided. All this plus, The Beautiful Kennebec River and the well maintained R .T .T. trail. A short walk leads you to the boat launch/ swimming area. It's so enjoyable to swim, kayak and canoe on the river . It's so clean and refreshing! . We also enjoyed driving around and learning about the history of the area. Charley and Marsha are so friendly and helpful with information about the area also. I Definitely recommend this rental !

Nice place right on the ITS

February 28, 2014

We spent Friday February 14th through Tuesday February 18th at this beautiful cabin. It is comfortable, immaculate and perfectly located. Our hosts made every effort to make us welcome and every amenity is provided. The cabin is completely child friendly with games, books and plenty of room. We snowmobiled, skied, snowshoed and went sledding. This winter getaway was just perfect with the winter wonderland of Maine at our doorstep. We very much hope to return next year.

Very Quiet and CLEAN ..

November 13, 2012

We rented this for Moose Hunting and is a great place and section of Maine. Deer in the driveway and so many things to see in the area. The trails are right down the little hill in the backyard which makes it perfect for snowmobiling or fourwheeling or just a great hike along the river. Could not have asked for a better place as a matter of fact we booked it for flyfishing next season already..Great Place !!
