I tried 3 different times to rent this house ... first I was told that he might sell it ... so I was to wait until Spring, the second time I actually got a lease only to be told .. they changed their mind ... and the last time ... again I was told NO can't rent it ... funny thing though ... when I was renting another house in Camelot Forest ... this house was rented ... so go figure .... I just stopped trying to rent it ... 3 strikes and I was OUT >>>>>
Chalet across from Lake

Awesome house, convenient location, comfortable setting. My boys had an awesome time. We didn't get to use the hottube, maybe next time. The take some leave some culture was a blessing and we really appreciated all the supplies. My only knock on the property is the first floor heat, inadequate and the wood fireplace had functionality challenges. Other than that I would give the place a 5.
Sorry the wood pellet stove was not functioning during your stay. We typically have the property manager start it prior to our winter guests arrival so the great room is toasty warm. It does require minimum attention, so it is possible that it went out. I'm glad you enjoyed the home otherwise!

Some attention needed.
September 14, 2012
The place was an over all nice place. However, the place needs a little attention. It looks great from the outside and the inside was neat and clean. But the celing had water damage stains in the living room over top of the flat screen tv. I was told that there would be a gas grill on the back deck but it was charchol and whoever stayed there before my group didn't clean it so we had to clean it ourselves. I was also told that there would be a PS2 there but there wasn't. The tile fixtures as you walk in the front door were loose, if you stepped on them they would come out of place. The livingroom furniture needs to be replaced. Luckily we brought an air matress because the sofa bed wouldn't lay straight. The love seat had a tare in the back of it. In the sunroom the wicker chair had a loose piece on the arm. I think before a place gets rented out these things should be fixed first. I liked that it had a lot of dvd movies to watch. The beds were compfortable. I loved the hot tub.The kitchen had all the supplies we needed. It was relaxing to lounge on the front deck or soak in the hot tub on the back deck. The only way I would rent this place again is I was assured that the problems that I named were fixed.
Great relaxing weekend!

We had a wonderful time in your lovely home. The pictures were true to form and everything was just as described right down to the comfortable furnishings to the much appreciated hot tub. Having a Dunkin Donuts a few minutes away was an added bonus. We found the property extremely relaxing and the perfect getaway for just the two of us. Had dinner at a lovely cafe across from lake harmony. The kitchen was very well equipped though we chose not to cook. TV had only a handful of channels so if you go, plan to bring some DVDs. There is a nice selection available in the home but mostly children's DVDs. There is a Redbox at the CVS across the street from DD which was very convenient. Also, stated firewood is provided but couldn't find it, bought a carload from firewood place for $15 bucks. Overall, would definitely recommend this home if you are looking for a comfortable, quiet vacation site which is close to many activities or great to just hang out if your goal is to relax. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
Cheryl we are so glad you enjoyed the chalet, and thanks for taking time to post this review. We're looking forward to your return, and we'll be sure to show you where the firewood can be found next time. If you come in the winter, we'll have the pellet stove going for your arrival, and of course we always have the gas fireplace ready in the great room! I agree with your "bonus" opinion about Dunkin Donuts a few minutes away! Again, thanks for your kind review and we look forward to your return.

Great Family Vacation Home
August 26, 2012
My family had a fantastic time renting this vacation home in the Poconos for a week. Home is in a great location and convenient to many activities. It also had an open floor plan which made our fun times even more special. I would recommend this home to friends and family if they are looking for a place to stay. The price was within our budget and was much better than a staying at a hotel. I would definitely rent this home again.
We're so glad you had a good time at Camelot Forest Chalet! We get a lot of positive feedback about the home, and we especially appreciate it when guests take the time to post them online as you did. Thank you! In the Fall, the Poconos are really beautiful, and our rates are even better then (our off season). Keep us in mind for a winter ski or snow tubing get-away too, but be sure to book early because we typically sell out our winter weekends. Looking forward to having you back, and thanks again!

Great Last-Minute Weekend Escape
July 4, 2011
Our group of five guys in our 30s had planned to go camping for the weekend, when the weather turned bad. Instead of losing the weekend that we'd all managed to free up in our schedules, we started hunting for last-minute houses on Friday morning. We totally lucked out with the Camelot Forest Chalet. It was perfect for a rainy weekend of playing cards, grilling steaks and hanging out. When the weather lifted, we walked across the road to do some fishing on the lake, where the bass were hitting like crazy. The owner, Steve, was super professional and really accommodating with the entire rental transaction, and we'll absolutely work with him again. All the contracts, info and payment is handled online, which really helped since we were doing things at the last minute. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable and laid-back spot for a small group to while away the weekend, this house is an outstanding choice.
memories to last a lifetime

My mother rented the house for the week & we had a wonderful time. Being able to all stay under one roof was awesome! Everyone from my grandmother down to my 1 yr old enjoyed your home. It has been a long time since we've had family dinners, long conversations in the same room & even got to spend hours just sitting on the front porch just being together since we are all now grown & married. I would like to thank you for all of the wonderful memories & hopefully next year our family will be back.
Wilderness feel but close to everything!

10 minutes from Camelback and JFBB, this is a great house that sleeps 9 in beds even before pulling out the couch or blowing up an air mattress. Awesome yards in front and back. Driveway (even diminished by snowbanks) fits 7-8 cars depending on their size. Perfect house for a close extended family or friends weekend with a kitchen table that seats 8-10 with the leaves in. Hot tub in back deck fits 5, 6, or 7 depending on how big/how close you all are! Only drawback for our group: no ESPN:( But with wifi and good cell reception we were able to get the game we wanted. We will be back to try out the house/the area in warmer weather!
We just can not thank you enough for opening up your home to us. It was such a relaxing time for us as a family. Our schedule had been so busy and this was exactly what we needed. We enjoyed taking walks, going to the lake and throwing rocks, riding bikes, taking picnics, and using the hot tub. Many Blessings,
