My family & I had the pleasure of renting this rustic slice of heaven for a week in the summer. The privacy was just what we were looking for. We found the house to be meticulously kept, with all the amenities you could expect from a 5 star hotel. The proximity to a miriad of water sports and easy to find scenic wonderland of Boone NC was just what the doctor ordered for a family of urban jellybeans. We greatly appreciated the hot tub after a long day of outdoor play. As an avid skiir and snomobile enthusiast, I plan on coming back again this winter. My only hope is that I can get my time off far enough in advance to ensure Trish and Evan have an available opening for us. I write this review reluctanly as I fear my owrds may be the catalyst for my inability to find an open week or weekend. This place does not stay avaialable for long. Many thanks Trish & Evan, be talking to you soon. JR- Connecticut
We went up to Boone to check out ASU as a possible college choice for my daughter. We picked this cabin because it was close to ASU, but also close to mountain hiking and mountain activities. To say we love it here is an understatement! The area is fantastic! We went zip lining, hiking, tubing and white water rafting. The restaurants in the area are delicious. The cabin was SPOTLESS! All the nice little things that Trish has decorating the place make it clear that the owners really care about this place and the people who use it. Trish called while we were here to make sure everything was perfect. She was also helpful in giving us suggestions when we asked for places to go. They are very thoughtful in that they include free long distance, because cell service in the mountains is in and out. They leave some soap and shampoo for us in case we forgot to bring it. They even made sure that there was coffee here for our first morning. Most cabins leave nothing! I would come back here again and again! We want to come back in the Autumn. I bet it is gorgeous!
