Reviews for this vacation apartment rental in Boston, Massachusetts

This is a charming historic house that exudes the history of the original owner, but has been updated in a way that preserves the best of both worlds. Everything in Salem is a short walk away. Parking spot included. We scored with this rental. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous Boston Vacation

Recently stayed at a quaint little one bedroom, one bath, kitchen, pull out sofa rental on Charles Street. At first, as we came in the back door and up the elevator we were a little skeptical, but the minute we walked out the front door of the building onto Charles Street we knew this was the perfect spot for us. After all there is so much to see and do in Boston, so how much time do you actually spend in the rental. We had 4 adults and a 1 1/2 year old who liked to start her day at 6:00 am. We were so close to the coffee shops, The Sevens Pub, the public gardens and park - literally something for everyone at all hours it seemed. Accommodations were clean, we needed more towels as there was only enough towels in the room for 3 people and they knew there was 4 of us booked in - quickly fixed with an e-mail to the management. All, in all we really liked the rental and highly recommend it to anyone coming to Boston.
Perfect place to stay during nearby conference!

We were a group of 6 graduate students that stayed in this unit for a week while attending a conference at Hynes. The location was ideal, and the apartment was perfect for our group. It was clean and well-kept when we arrived (and made it up the stairs!), and was just as we expected from the pictures. The rooftop terrace was wonderful, and we were able to cook all of our meals in the kitchen as it was very well equipped. We fit 6 in well (2 in each room, 2 on the pull out couch). I'd highly recommend this apartment!

It was a lovely home and everything was very accommodating. The location was outstanding! We walked to Bunker Hill to catch the Trolley or took cabs on short rides though out the city. The restaurants and neighborhood were quaint and fun.

Owner not on her game. Had a lot of issues with corrisponence. Alsways had an excuse and blaimed her absent mindness on us. Neither Ad nor owner explained that this was a 4 story unit. Owner actually lives in unit except when renting, too much personal articals through out unit. Poor cooling units in bedroom windows. Which were on upper floor, made it hard for comfort/ sleeping. Doors falling off of door jams, had to lft to open and/or close. Not very well cleaned. Specifically asked about television sets and coffee maker. Televisions did not function properly or at all and no coffee maker. Asked to take care of and did not. Has tenent down stairs with barking dog, was not mentiond. Owner offer unit as B&B which not permitted and was posted and citied for while we were there. An issue which involved us and our time. If one has any physical disabilities, this is definitally not for them. She thinks that she has a handle on things, but has too much on her plate to over see herself. Just excited that it was getting rented out. She had another rental up the street who called with issues. Told them over the phone that she would be right over, then took off for personal bussines for rest of day. Cheaper that a hotel and had a kitchen with minimal pots, pans and dish ware. I guess I would say I was not very pleased with the over all situation. Pictures were disceiving. She later had mentioned that Ad and photos were two years old.

Dawn did an amazing job setting us up with a place to stay in Boston during the marathon. The hospitality was better than expected. She does not exaggerate in terms of her pictures nor her descriptions. We look forward to our next visit and will most definitely contact Dawn to find us a place.
