GREAT VIEW OF CANAL

September 22, 2014

House has all that you need. Refrigerator makes a lot of noise for a new one and some food left from previous renter (not just condiments); dishwasher does not always work but is new also; don't you hate it when someone before you cooks on the grill with barbeque sauce and does not clean the grill! Advertises use of 2 bicycles...one both had flat tires other had bad seat. Other than that house is good central location, and is comfortable with nice furnishings and decorative touch. They are doing the outside over. Will be better when done. Lumber etc. stored here and there. Some trash in yard i.e. coffee cups etc. Yard was not kept up well for some time and they are working on fixing it up and it shows. It was kind of "creepy" having people stair at the house when they were walking the canal. It made up wonder so we asked them why. They said they were glad the house was being kept up now as it was pretty bad in the past. This entire area was down and out for some time and is on the rebound. A lot of houses in the area are boarded up and vacant.

Cape Cod Canal House

September 10, 2014

Everything was as expected such as the location, views, fishing, bike path, area amenities. However, the cleanliness of the home was way under par. I had to vacuum the floors with a poorly working vacuum, and clean fingerprints everywhere. The shower curtain was filthy with what appeared to be blood on it. We only used it once because of this. There was dust inches thick on the ceiling fan. For the $100 cleaning fee I could have done a much better job! There were no trash bags so we bought some. Refrigerator should be empty. Who wants to use leftover condiments or food from strangers. The fridge was gross. Otherwise, the week was very enjoyable.

Cape Cod Canal House Vacation Rental

April 20, 2013

I rented this house for a week because my husband likes to fish. The house has been fully renovated with a very nice kitchen. My favorite thing about the house was watching huge ships go by in the canal. The walking/biking trail is right behind the house so we didn't have to load up our kids bikes on the car. I'd like to come back in the summer and take advantage of the local beaches.
