Reviews for this vacation townhouse rental in Charleston, South Carolina

I love visiting Charleston and by staying the condo it made for a more pleasant trip than by staying in a hotel room. My husband and I loved the dock out on the lake because it was nice to go out there and relax while he did some fishing. Reasonably priced condo and it's definitely a place I would stay in again.
Fun & Luxury

Great location and a wonderful home.
Convenient and roomy
March 17, 2013
This condo was just fine for us to visit the many sites of Charleston and if you like to shop the Tangier Outlet was a few minutes away. The condo was roomy, clean and provided us with all the necessities for a week. Situated on a small man-made lake it was peaceful in the evenings with a variety of local birds to add to the scenery. There was a quarry on the far side of the pond but other than the crushed stone hills and a touch of industrial look it was not noisy or busy with activity. Three couples or a good sized family would find this a comfortable place to use as a base for a visit to the Charleston area. We would certainly stay here again when we return to the area.

Our extended family met for a get-away long weekend in Charleston. The townhome had easy access for being near to everything; historical downtown Charleston, Interstate, beach/islands, golf courses and outlet mall. We were surprised and pleased with how clean and well stocked the townhome was when we arrived. Great nature view off the patio and balconies! The townhome was comfortable; easily slept 7 adults. Awesome trip!

This place was GREAT! Amazing view on the pond, loved how it was over the water, house was really nice, big bedrooms and spacious bathrooms...the only reason why I gave this place a 4/5 star rating was because the first night that we had gotten there we of course walked barefoot around the house, and literally within a couple hours the bottoms of our feet were BLACK, and the floors downstairs were extremely sticky...but we didn't stay too much at the house, just when we went to bed...so it didn't bother us too much, but that part was gross. (and no I did not walk outside barefoot, this literally came from the downstairs floors)...the beds have memory foam on them which was amazing! Verge was really nice and helped us out a lot. Only thing, is, it took us longer than 7 minutes to get to the historic downtown area...more like 10-15...but all in all the trip was GREAT, and we would definitly recommend this place to friends (which I already have and they are looking in to it!)
Great Place to Stay
September 10, 2009
This is a great place to stay if you have a large group of people. There is plenty of room for everyone. It is close to downtown and to the beach. I would recommend this to anyone of my friends. Thanks for the fun place to stay for a great price!

Excellent rental, Owner was in contact several times before rental and followed up after rental. House at the end of the road right on the river and a wonderful swamp. Plenty of chance the ghere and see the local wildlife. Very relaxing and would reccommnd it to everybody.

We loved our stay in Charleston – the townhome was great. The location was perfect for going into town, yet close enough so we could take a break when needed. It was very comfortable and we had lots of room to spread out. Thank you for switching us to the townhome on Lake Palmetto Drive , everyone was impressed!
Great Place for Weekend
May 20, 2009
I went with a group of girls for a weekend in Charleston. We had a blast! There was so much room in the townhouse. It was much better than staying in a crowded hotel room. The location was great. We went downtown Charleston both Friday and Saturday night. We also went to Folly Beach Saturday during the day.
Comfortable and Relaxing

The townhouse was "as described" and we felt right at home. The owner was tentative and followed up with us whenever necessary. I would recommend this property to anyone - especially families. The owner has thought of just about anything you could want or need from fishing poles and sand toys to all the kitchen accessories you could imagine. Let's not forget about the fully stocked playstation that saved my sanity some days! As mentioned most everything is less than a 15 minute drive - which we found very convienient. Yet the townhouse is NOT right in the hustle and bustle of all the tourism. When you book lodging on the internet you NEVER know what you are going to get and we were pleasantly surprised... Thanks so much Gretchen - we have already recommended your place to another family and plan to come back in a few years!

We have just returned from a 4 day stay in Charleston. We stayed at this property for 3 nights and found it to be very spacious and very good value for the price. I must comment on how spotlessly clean the town house was. The white tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms were positively gleaming! The property is well maintained and has everything there that you would need. The play station system was a big hit with my husband and it was great to be able to have access to the computer. North Charleston was a very accessible area to everywhere although Nth Charleston was a lot more industrial than we expected. I don't want to put anyone off staying here because it is a great property for the money, but just want people's expectations to be met. There were not a lot of amenities directly next to the property however we drove 5 minutes down the road to Northwoods Blvd where there was a shopping mall and a large selection of restaurants including Olive Garden, Carrabas, O'Charleys etc

Great town home in North Charleston about 10 min from downtown. Near many convenient stores and Tanger outlets. The town home was in great shape and comfortably slept 7 people. No real complaints. Well stocked with all you will need to enjoy your trip. Also had a computer with internet which was nice. One of the best parts of the place was the original Playstation with a well stocked game inventory.
Just wanted to drop you a line to say the condo was wonderful. What a perfect location, convenient to two major freeways. It was really nice to have enough room for all for our "7 sisters reunion". We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this condo to others.
The townhouse is very spacious, clean with all the comforts of home . The view from the deck is relaxing and we enjoyed feeding the turtles, they love Cheerios. Fishing can be done from the deck, the owner provides the fishing poles and a tackle box. The Convention Center/Coliseum is within walking distance from the townhouse. Downtown Charleston is a short drive and there is plenty of shopping and great restaurants. I would highly recommend this property. Kathy M
Just wanted to drop you a line and tell you that we had a great time. The townhouse was wonderful and we tried to treat it just like it was our own. We made sure everything was back in good order before we left. I definitly would like to come back next summer and hopefully we will keep in touch so I may do that.
I look forward to talking to you.
By the way we had a great time in your house. Very comfortable and great location.
First off. We had a great time! Thank you again for setting it up such last minute! Your place was GREAT! It was HUGE, clean, very inviting, easy to get to, easy to get to other places such as Downtown Charleston or just a little farther drive to the beach, great nature life out in
the lake with many turtles that kept us entertained.
Great new bedding and towels, all the pamphlets and information that was in the living room was great, it is a quiet little neighborhood where we could really relax and get away, and most of all Verge and his wife were great hostess.
>The biggest plus was the price! It was a great deal for us to stay > somewhere in which we paid just a little more per night to have more of
> a living space verses paying just a little less for a hotel room which is cramped, not as inviting, and not any areas to really relax!
