Escaping the Northern winter

“ Excellent ”
May 10, 2014
This was our first time spending the winter in Florida. Our experience at this rental was great. The condo offered all the amenities for comfort and relaxation. The beach and pool were lovely. Everyone was very friendly and helpful but also sensitive to our privacy. We would recommend this property and look forward to renting it again. Thank you Linda. The Shremshocks

Beautiful & spacious house - good location

“ Excellent ”
January 29, 2015
Spent 5 days with 3 generations of family at this house. House was great - and exactly as advertised. Owner was very nice and friendly and met us at house to provide entry information and walk us through house. We asked for late checkout and owner was amenable to it since he did not have a new renter the day we were leaving. House was better stocked (e.g. paper towels and toilet paper) than one we rented for previous family vacation in Kissimmee, but that may be because previous renters left paper towels (as we did when we left). Owner was very concerned about cleanliness and house was very clean (but we found remnants of bugs and spray in house that owner later confirmed). The house's 5 bedrooms were great - allowing the family to spread out, and the master bedroom was wonderful but be aware that there are several steps getting into and at the interior entry to the room and special care is necessary or one could fall and really hurt themselves! The master bath whirlpool was so big that it almost seemed like it was meant for two. The master bedroom has room darkening blinds but there is a very high ceiling and open windows above the blinds. If you have trouble sleeping unless it is pitch black, you might want to consider another bedroom. There were TVs in every bedroom but and the dining room and the dining room TV was the only one with the full HD cable setup. It would have been much better if this setup were in the living room and not the dining area. (There is no TV in the living room.) There is a very nice heated pool in the back and there are lots of float devices and water toys for the kids in the garage (but note that there is no fence around the pool so you need to keep a close watch on little kids). There are beach chairs in the garage and the beach is an easy 5 minute or less drive - there is convenient pay parking right at the beach ($1.25/hour). There are also 2 bicycles in the garage but both had flat tires and one of the tires was bent so riding might not have been very comfortable. We called the owner about this and he thought there was a pump in the house but it was not there and we asked him not to bother making a trip just to bring it to us. Owner travels a lot and it sometimes took a few days to get responses to messages/questions. Also be careful how payment is made - there are at least 2 ways to pay and owner kept on getting confused and reminded me about payment that was already made (and acknowledged by him each time I responded).

Excellent stay for large family

“ Excellent ”
April 29, 2011
Stayed in this home with 4 young children (ages 6 and under). Very family friendly, close to all amenities and close to the beach. Kids loved the pool and the family room. Lots of room to play and run around. Kitchen was a dream- able to do everything like at home (essential for my family). Great location and great house. Any problems were dealt with immediately by the rental owners.

Luxury building, lovely condo, exceptional views

“ Excellent ”
November 1, 2011
My husband, my mother and I recently returned from our stay in this beautiful Hallandale Beach Club condominium. We arrived to find the unit exactly as pictured. Two full walls of the living room provide ceiling to floor views of the ocean. The balcony is enormous and wraps around the corner of the building allowing access from two of the bedrooms as well as the living and dining areas. All three bedrooms included their own ensuite and flat screen TVs. There was more than enough room for the three of us and we never felt crowded. The building feels like a luxury hotel. Valet service greeted our car as we arrived, the valet attendants remembered our car and unit number every time we collected the car. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to get to know us (ensuring that a delivery was received by my husband). The pool was always staffed by at least three attendants as well as security staff. The fitness centre has to be seen to be believed - simply amazing windows facing the ocean. There is also a spa on site where I received a manicure and pedicure for a very reasonable price ($42 USD, including 20% gratuity). The pools are stunning, I particularly appreciated that the large heated lap pool and two spa pools were for adults only. Families with children will find ample pool and spa space at the adjacent tower. This building takes security SERIOUSLY. Photo ID is issued to all residents and must be used to enter the tower, use the elevators and be presented at the pool and beach areas. A 'wrist band' policy is in place, whereby each resident must go to the front desk to obtain a dated wristband to use the pool, beach and fitness facilities. Pool attendants and security approached me every time I used the pool to check my ID and wristband, ensuring that I was registered with the building. Some residents told me that this policy is too strictly enforced; however, I appreciated the security and felt safe at all times, even at night. The unit included all items needed for cooking (including a well stocked spice rack), along with towels and beach towels. We purchased our own items such as soap, laundry detergent and paper products. This is the first time we have rented a vacation condo (we have previously stayed at the Diplomat and Hollywood Marriott) and we would most certainly would stay here again.

About Hallandale Beach

Hallandale Beach Travel Tips

Hallandale Beach is the perfect getaway for a family vacation. Centered between Fort Lauderdale and Miami in Broward County, FL, this city is a thriving tourist destination with attractions for the entire family. Rather than staying at a hotel, setting up shop in one of the many Hallandale Beach rentals can save you money. You won’t have to stick to set room-cleaning and dining hours because you’ll have access to a full kitchen and dining area. This means that you can plan meals around your own schedule. Also, Hallandale Beach condos for rent by owner differ in size but are larger than the average hotel room. You won’t have to miss out on anything because Hallandale Beach vacation rentals give easy access to the area attractions. After a quick online search, you can rent your vacation home with just a click of a button. All that’s left is figuring out where to go and what to do.

What to Pack

Casual is the dress code when it comes to exploring Hallandale Beach and its surroundings. Sandals, casual tank tops, shorts, sundresses, and T-shirts are ideal. Of course, a swimsuit is a must, as are sunglasses and sunblock for protection. For cooler days, pack a light coat, long pants, and maybe a sweater. Rainstorms can happen any time of the year but are most common from April through November. Hallandale vacation rentals make for the perfect hideout during a rainstorm, but if you’re out and about, a small umbrella or poncho could come in handy. Always dress in layers because although it might be hot outside, restaurants and shops might be blasting their air conditioning.

Where to Go

Although Hallandale Beach rentals can make it tempting to stay indoors, you can’t miss out on the many things to see and do. Prominent attractions in Hallandale Beach include Gulfstream Park and Mardi Gras Casino. Gulfstream Park offers casino games and world-class thoroughbred racing, and Mardi Gras Casino offers gaming entertainment and greyhound racing.
Hallandale Beach and its surrounding cities don’t disappoint when it comes to shopping. You can just step out of your rental apartment and walk over to Diplomat Mall. For bargains, consider going to the artsy Fashion Row District and browsing through the unique clothes and accessories. Other places to shop include the nearby Las Olas Boulevard, the Aventura Mall, and the Bal Harbour Shops.
