Reviews for this vacation home rental in Glacier National Park, Montana
September 24, 2009
For our group of friends the location of this property was perfect. Waking up and walking out the door to drop a line in the Flathead River to fish- returning for breakfast and a cup of coffee- then planning a hike for the day returning to soothe our weary bones in the hot tub after cooking dinner and sharing conversation about our days adventures. It doesn't get any better than this!!! Being close to the West entrance to the park gave us the luxury to visit daily and we did. Having a place feel like home allowed us to slip into vacation mode immediately. Shortly after arriving, we talked about when we'll return- the ultimate compliment!

wonderful place to make memories

Excellent experience. The house was roomy for the 6 of us. We had comfortable beds and room to relax and enjoy the view of the mountains and river. Very convenient to the West Glacier Park entrance and town of West Glacier. Loved the convenience of fishing out the back of the house on the Flathead River. Enjoyed being in the hot tub under the stars after hiking all day. Weather was 80 degrees and sunny the entire week. Very clean and well maintained. Close enough to a large grocery store which made getting groceries and preparing meals easy. Close to airport and the train station is only 5 min away. I would suggest that you eat at the Belton Chalet (5 min away) one night - excellent food.
As soon as we glimpsed your magic cabin in the woods, we all sighed. On exploring the fabulous interior, it was pure love. The girls in our group toured your treasures on the walls and ran our fingers over the timber furniture attempting to discover the past history of your collectables.
Although rain fell and the misting clouds obscured our view into the valleys deep below, the Park in October was serenely beautiful. Our hope for bear sightings will have to be on another visit.
For Australians peeking into your National Parks and staying in your personalized home, it gave us a taste of Montana bliss.
Thank you for sharing.
Loved staying in your beautiful home. Enjoyed fishing so close and did hike to Hidden Lake. It was strenuous for a 69 year old not used to your altitude.
We also saw a black bear 5 feet from your deck.
House was so enjoyable and we had room for 3 more. Loved your décor!
Thanks for letting us stay
Our trip to Montana was made special by this home. We were very glad to come here each night after magnificent days hiking in the Park. We are a family of 8 and had plenty of room for each to find their spot to relax. We cooked our meals and were thankful for all the kitchen supplies and grill. We so appreciate this place and all the beauty of the Park.

We had such a wonderful time in your home. The kitchen was perfect for all the high calorie meals we fixed, but we are on vacation so what the heck.
We had a visit from a couple deer and even a bear. Not a dull moment was had.
Location was wonderful. We fished, took tours and a helicopter ride our last day was definitely the highlight. Our 3 couples are from the Outer Banks of NC.
Thanks for such good memories.
Thank you for sharing your place with us. Coming from NJ, we do not get wilderness anything like this! We loved Glacier, rafting, golfing, hiking and Kalispell Farmers Market.
Thanks to Lees fishing tip, my daughter caught her first fish. Hooray. There is so much to do here, so many opportunities to appreciate the great outdoors. Your house is an ideal spot to use as a launching pad. THANK YOU!
What a perfectly lovely house in a perfect location! Our 3 generations had a blissful week here and voted your home the best we have stayed in over the past 5 years.
Our fishers loved the river, as did those of us who swam and skipped stones. We hiked and rafted and spied on the bear eating berries in the back yard.
You have thought of everything. Forgot to mention the artwork which is supreme. We are great fans of Arts and Crafts, and it was a treat to live among your beautiful collection.
