Description of the Hanalei vacation home rental
HappiHouse is a unique oceanfront custom Tahitian appointed property on the North Shore of Kauai in Haena. It is a 3 bedroom 2 full bath (2 showers and 2 bathtubs- 1 bubbler bath) that can sleep up to 6 in private rooms with a full kitchen, living room, dining room and two private decks overlooking the breathtaking views of the Hanalei Bay and the Bali Hai Mountains.
It is peaceful and all you can hear is the sound of the waves and see the beautiful rainbows that stretch across the Hanalei Bay. The home is decorated in a Tahitian style with unbelievable carvings and native artwork throughout the home and in the pool area. The atmosphere and ambiance is serene, private, and great for families and special occasions.

Area Info
The location is excellent because there is a very private beach in front of HappiHouse about 30 steps from the home. It is one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island according to many of the visitors. Famous Tunnels beach is about 3 minutes driving time which makes it closer than walking from the home.
Hanalei beach is a pristine beach and is about 8 minutes drive where you can also pick up groceries, book trips, etc. Ke'e beach is about 8 minutes towards the Napali Coastline hiking trail and is protected by a reef which makes it like a large 500 yard wide swimming pool with many tropical fish and turtles. This is one of the favorites on the island. Princeville is where championship The Prince and Makai Golf Clubs are located. Annini beach and other wonderful sandy beaches are located towards off Kuhio Highway about 20-30 minutes away. The famous Lumihai Botanical Gardens are just 7 minutes up Kuhio Highway towards Ke'e Beach.
About 200 yards walk from HappiHouse is The Mediterranean Seafood Restaurant rated #1 in Kauai for the last five years which also has the only North Shore top Luau with tropical dancers, fire eaters, and local Hawaiian food specialties.

It was nice house, with lots of living space, nice views of the ocean and a good location. The trouble was, unbeknownst to us the house had just been sold, so whoever owned it clearly wasn't interested in provided the best experience for vacation renters. The house was really dirty--bird poop on the chairs in the bedroom, mildew in the dishwasher, soap film on the bathroom tile, etc. The hot tub was gross and dirty. The TV didn't work and none of the audio equipment worked. The railing to the upstairs fell out of the wall. The towel rack in the downstairs bath fell out of the wall. The hardware in the sliding doors fell out of the doors--which were very hard to open and close. The little courtyard garden had a pond which was dried up and there was a hose in the garden that was just left sitting in the middle of the courtyard when we stepped into the area. The hand soap in the bathroom was some weird liquid soap that was poured into a nice bottle to make it look like it was something it wasn't. The pans and utensils were old, the kitchen was not at all gourmet as it was advertised. All in all we had a nice time, but the house and its condition was totally misrepresented.
