Ohana house is in a perfect location for exploring Hilo and Volcanos National Park. It is a couple of miles away from Volcano village and 3 miles from the park, which makes it a great base to see the park in both daylight and at dusk when you can see the glow of the lava flow. We spend 2 nights but could have done with 3-4 as there is so much to see on this side of the Big Island. From enquiry to booking, Becky was so warm and obliging and the house is a reflection of Becky herself. It is beautifully furnished and stocked with all the amenities you require. Groceries are expensive in Volcano so if you plan to cook, buy them in Hilo. This house accommodated two families of 4 no problem. Thank you for sharing your home with us. The O'Briens and the Chims

The house is in a very quiet district, and is wheelchair accessible.
It is very clean, well furnished and equipped. All we could need was there, body wash, shampoo, beach towels, snorkels and masks.
The design is great, mainly big pieces of wood, which give to the place a warmful atmosphere. This house has a lot of charm and is modern at the same time.
We loved the incredible view of the ocean facing us from almost everywhere we could stand inside. But the best was to look at it while being in the spa on the deck!
We also loved the sound of waves against the lava rocks and the sound of coqui frogs ( but not that close) and enjoyed the sunrise from the deck.
Two weeks before our stay, the hurricane Isel hurted Puna district badly. Despite of this, despite all the damages made in their other house, the owners took the time to be available as we needed to fix some details. We had the chance to meet really good persons.
Living in such a house for a few days, facing the ocean, was one of our dreams. Now we have another dream: to come back.
