Description of the Hollywood vacation apartment rental
This exotic apartment is a hideaway amid the action and fun of Hollywood. The lush back garden is a wonderful place to read a book while enjoying a refreshment – the warm Southern California sun streaking through the tall trees. Staying here is worth a trip to Hollywood all by itself, but with the attraction of all that LA has to offer virtually blocks away, the apartment is part of a truly special house. A 1920's cottage with windows everywhere that let in beautiful morning and evening light, staying here is a wonderful experience.

The apartment will sleep 5 people—2 in the bed, 2 on the fold-out couch, and one in the opium niche in the bedroom. (The opium niche looks small in the picture due to the perspective, but in actuality, it can sleep a person up to 6'2" and I've been told it's very comfortable. However, if the niche sleeper is tall, he/she will have to sleep at an angle.) Footsteps and plumbing can be heard from upstairs, so if you are sound sensitive, you may want to sleep with ear plugs.

The trees that shade the house keep the house cool in summer--no need for a.c Portable heaters provided for chilly times.

Your cleaning deposit will be returned if you leave the place cleaner than you found it, including doing the dishes, sweeping, mopping the kitchen and bathroom floors, washing sheets & towels, etc.

14% Hotel tax due in cash upon arrival for stays of 29 days or less

Area Info
Located in the Hollywood Dell, this is the Old Hollywood. You fell as though you're in the country, but you're only a stone's throw from Central Hollywood and so many attractions. I took a walk around the neighborhood with a guest who repeatedly exclaimed "I can't believe we're in the middle of Hollywood!"

Here are a few places in walking distance.

The Metro

Right on this block many houses once inhabited by movie stars from the
Golden Age of Hollywood.
Tons of bars
Tons of restaurants
Hollywood Boulevard--stars on pavement.
Hollywood Bowl
Academy Awards Theater
Mann's Chinese star's footprints
The Hollywood sign
Wax Museum
View of the Hollywood sign (not allowed to get right up to it--not my rule--the city's)
Hollywood Reservoir
Trader Joes

Short drive: (5 to 25 minutes depending on traffic)

Universal Studio
Warner Brothers
Griffith Park
Los Feliz/Silverlake
Golf courses
Downtown
China Town
Little Tokyo
Olivera Street (the oldest street in L..A.)
Museums
Botanical Gardens
The Beach

Oh gosh . . . lets talk about more places when you get here.

It's no wonder L.A. magazine has listed this area as one of the ten best places to live in Los Angeles.

Perfect Location!!

April 14, 2015

My boyfriend and I stayed with Yvonne during our stay in LA. I am always a little hesitant renting a place off of these sites but Yvonne was professional/ timely in her response and made us feel welcome once we arrived. The backyard is beautiful and the accommodations are exactly what you see in the pictures: charming homey. The location is perfect!!! close to everything and great for those that love running. The houses in the area are so interesting and being within the Hollywood Hills there is no breaks when your out for a jog! Overall great value for location! Also as a note: we opted to do the cleaning ourselves and Yvonne transferred the damage and cleaning deposit back to my paypal within hours of us leaving. She is very personable, professional and great to do business with :).

Classic, Serene Spot in the Hollywood Hills

September 3, 2014

Fun & friendly hosts at this classic, serene, & convenient Hollywood Hills spot. You feel like you've stepped back into 1930s Hollywood and are renting a small but adequate homestead. It had all we needed, & the backyard outdoor space was very relaxing. Plus, this spot is very convenient & accessible to Hollywood, Studio City, and the 101 freeway. I'd stay again!

Owner's reply:
