Great place

November 22, 2014

I had the pleasure of staying at this property over a weekend while in town for a wedding. The cottage is well maintained and centrally located to several conveniences such as restaurants and grocery stores. There is plenty of room with a separate dining area and living room. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessities you would expect in a rental property. Diane is a wealth of information on the area. Though our visit was brief we were able to fit in the Farmers Market; it was a pleasure to attend this event and meet the local farmers. I highly recommend this property and the owner.

Owner's reply:

Thank you for choosing our cottage for your visit to Inverness. Maybe next time you can stay longer and swim with the manatees or take a boating or fishing tour out of nearby Crystal River. I love Citrus County and enjoy sharing with my guests any information I have about the area!

Wonderful!

October 21, 2014

My husband and I spent a week in this little cottage and we couldn't have been more pleased. The two bedroom house had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable enough, the kitchen had all the basics. Publix was our go to place to get what groceries we needed. The house is just blocks from a great walking/biking path that meanders around the lake. The bikes provided at the house were used twice by us. It was so nice to be able to take a ride in the morning before the day got hot. We found so much to do in the area. We went out to Rainbow River Park (twice), Whispering Pines Park (very close to the house) and Ft Island Gulf Beach. We had our dog with us so we needed to find places that she could go. We weren't disappointed at all; we found plenty of places that allowed dogs. There are also lots of great restaurants in the area. We liked Joe's Family Restaurant, Mama's Kuntry Kitchen and Highltand's Family Restaurant. All of them were good and very reasonably priced. We would definitely rent this cottage again!

Owner's reply:

Lindy, Thank you for choosing to vacation in our cottage! We are so happy you had a great time in Inverness and that you were comfortable at the cottage. Citrus County has so much to offer with mom and pop restaurants, lakes, springs, the manatees etc. People also come from all over to ride the 'Withlacoochee Trail'. I'm glad you made use of the bikes we supply! Thank you for being great guests. We appreciate you!

The cottage was completely equipped with everything we needed to make our visit enjoyable. We enjoyed the location and took full advantage of the walking/biking trail as well as the lake with the canoe which were all close by. We also enjoyed the city of Inverness with it's quiet and uniqueness and friendly people. Ken

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is less than a block from the lake with easy access using the canoe provided. The boat launch is just a little up the road. Rainbow Springs is 25 minutes away and has a great tubing run. Downtown is great with lots of bike trails and parks (visit Cooter pond!). We did 15 miles down the Withlacoochee bike trail. We had our own bikes but the owners had also supplied 4 bicycles for our use as well. In addition they provided a gas grill for us to cook out on. The cottage was very cute, updated and decorated nicely. We had everything we needed and the owner was extremely accommodating. We will definitely be going back! Patricia
