What Past Guests Say About Their Stay at Clarks Cove ~
~"Awesome House, Amazing View!
What a beautiful house. We had a great time, and with a house like this it's hard not to. Right off the bat I'll tell you the house was spectacularly clean. It is basically new, and the kitchen and bathrooms are spacious and appointed with high end fixtures, they didn't skimp on anything here. Our stay was amazing from the time we got there, until the time we left. The pictures and video don't do it justice. There are two decks on different levels with sweeping, unobstructed views of the Pacific. If you want privacy you'll get it here. The house sits in a secluded area where you can't see the neighboring houses. All you need to bring is yourself and food. Grilling our steaks while sipping wine with cheese and crackers on the deck at sunset Priceless ! Thanks Clarks Cove"
~Someone asked me once "what would I be looking at if I were looking at paradise"... Now I know...I'd be looking at Clark's Cove. I was there with my partner and my mother for our birth and mothers day celebrations. The home was very well stocked and obviously loved by the owners. The views were far beyond anything I could describe..majestic is the only one that comes close. Not only did six months of pressure wash away with the tide I personally saw four whales, was visited by a family of deer, and a reluctant racoon... The master suite is on the third level. Extremely comfortable bed, a gas fireplace, and large soaking tub overlooking overlooking the ocean. The second floor offers a second bedroom enough for two, a full bath, and a quiet study to read. The main floor offers an extremely well stocked kitchen. All I had to buy was food. My only complaint about this place..,WE HAD TO LEAVE!!come visit..I know I will be back ASAP
~"Our stay at Clark's Cove was wonderful!
~I had booked this place for our anniversary and had planned as a surprise for my husband.
Though he had seen a couple of pics, he absolutely loved the place.
It was serene and quiet and very private and we had a very nice time.
The house was well equipped . It was like home away from home.
Thanks a lot for making our stay so wonderful and special"
~Our stay at Clark’s Cove was perfect, the house was wonderful and well stocked. We would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to this area. Thank you"
~"We loved our stay at Clark’s Cove. The view was truly breathtaking and we spent a lot of our time simply enjoying the panorama, including the evening sky full of brite stars on our second nite. We felt like we were living in a tree house. The master bedroom was lovely and the bath spectacular. Also appreciated how everything was so clearly visible and well organized in the kitchen, pantry and laundry room. There was no time wasted searching for anything we might need."
~ "We loved every minute of it and plan to come back! What a beautiful home and beautiful location!"
Just 1.7 miles north, Gerstle Cove offers wonderful hiking, great tide pools, fishing and lovely views. Gerstle Cove is a hot spot for Abalone Diving
3 miles north is Stump Beach. It’s a walk down to the beach from the parking lot, but well worth it. Take the hike from Fisk Mill to Stump Beach
Another few miles north is the rhododendron gardens-gorgeous in the spring! Also, great hiking in the hills any time of year.
Just fifteen minutes up the road, offers a nice restaurant, beaches, etc. The Sea Ranch Golf Course located on the north side of Sea Ranch just before Gualala is a pretty good course and about a twenty minute drive from the house. See our guest book for more detailed information.
About five minutes south, Fort Ross is a historical landmark-great for the whole family!
Gualala is the closest town, cute coastal community with a large grocery store, restaurants, galleries and gift shopping.. .even a small spa. See our guest book for more detailed information.
Salt Point State Park has beautiful walking trails, picnicking, and fishing

Reviews for this vacation home rental in Jenner, California
October 7, 2015
This place is the best rental I've ever stayed in. Photos don't do it justice. Perfectly located, stunning views set back so also protected from the wind the house was finished to a very high standard and well equipped with everything you need. Seriously very good value for money. Service from Jenner rental company also exceptional. Thank you to them as well for a perfect stay! Ed

We loved our stay at Hidden Treasure. All the amenities you need are there. The hot tub was amazing! What a view! It was a very relaxing and enjoyable 3 days!

Hidden Treasure is an incredible house. The views were spectacular, and the house was very unique. We loved the downstairs shower that was sort of intertwined with indoor waterfall. One of our favorite things was the placement of the hot tub. Having a glass of wine, and watching the sun go down from the hot tub was an experience we won't forget anytime soon! My only complaint was that one week wasn't enough! We will absolutely be back!
A real getaway from...

A really nice place with a really unusual design. No key when we got there but the door was unlocked anyways. Seems the previous guests left with the key! Key delivered the next day. Everything was nicely done and great views all around.
Well named - truly is a "hidden treasure"

My family and I just returned from a weekend away at Hidden Treasure - and continue to be amazed how relaxed we all feel after the two day get away. The place is so spectacular, and each time we visit the owner has completed a new upgrade. How many places are finished and furnished so beautifully, amazing location, complete privacy, only about 2 hours drive from home near SF, and then the luxury of a five star restaurant 5 mins down the road at Timber Cove. We've been coming to Hidden Treasure for the last few years, and will continue to make it our special getaway on the coast. Our routine is to stop at the Whole Foods in Petaluma and stock up on their fabulous seafood, and then have a cook out each night on the deck. The owner has installed a fabulous BBQ which makes it a no-brainer to sit there, cook dinner and enjoy a nice Sauvignon Blanc. And a special suggestion - on our way home we detoured to a local market at Fort Ross school - the locals were very friendly and we bought some delicious pastries for lunch. Look for the sign on the road near the Timber Cove Inn.

Totally Exceeded my Expectations

Have you ever been so excited about something you saw in an ad...and then when you saw it in person, it left you a bit lack-luster? Unfortunately it seems we've all become conditioned that "it's never as great as the pictures." NOT TRUE HERE. Upon arrival, when we looked at the home and the location, we just started laughing in such childish delight, it's almost embarrassing. We rented Hidden Treasure to celebrate our 1-year anniversary - so I was looking for a place that would really be special and romantic. We couldn't have dreamt of a better place. It really was almost too perfect. We would walk around the place and just say "Yeah...this is amazing." The highlights of the place, for us, was the charming deck, the hot tub, the view from the bed, and the cozy living room. We were only there for 2 nights, be we never left the property. There was no need. There wasn't anything, anywhere else that would have made our weekend any MORE romantic - so we stayed put. We loved it so much we discussed possibly making Hidden Treasure "our anniversary spot"... but next time, though, we'll definitely stay longer. If you can swing it - stay 4 days or more to really get the full effect of this magical place. I could go on and on... in a word... "SPECTACULAR". Thanks for making our 1-year anniversary more memorable than we could've expected.
Very good property, good service at check-in

A Whale of a Fine Vacation
August 24, 2009
Our stay at HT was heavenly. Sitting on the deck and/or in the hot tub, scanning the seas for whales was a thrill. Thursday was Whale Day. We saw saw at least two pods breaching, spouting and diving all day. The home is magnificent and beautifully appointed. A few suggestions: A railing on the deck might prevent a dangerous fall. A starter load of firewood (with a note where to buy more) would make for a cozier welcome. Finally, the stairs to the bedroom are very slick in stocking feet. While it would be a shame to ruin the look of the wooden staircase with a runner, you might consider a varnish with grit of some sort in it to make the steps safer. Would we come back to HT? Definitely yes. The beauty, tranquility and luxury of the property make it an ideal retreat from the roar and the hustle of the city. Soaking in the hot tub, feeling the cool ocean breeze on one's face and hearing the surf roar on the cliffs below is a rare and enriching experience. My one regret was having to come home after six nights at HT.
