Reviews for this vacation cottage rental in Key West, Florida

Great house. Excellent location, well-maintained. Pool and pool house were great features, though a little smaller than we expected, but nonetheless, would highly recommend.
NEVER EVER STAY HERE!!!!!

! I have been to the Key’s about 9 times, I absolutely love it there! Unfortunately this was the WORST experience I have ever had & none the less on my bachelorette weekend, a time I’m supposed to remember for the rest of my life for FUN memories, not tearful regrets. We stayed at the Island Oasis (very contrary to the name). What you are ACTUALLY renting: First, the house has giant spaces under the doors allowing cock roaches, lizards, etc. to creep in & all over. Second, only 1 of the wall air conditioners works. Third of all, the pool is not a pool; it’s an oversized Jacuzzi with jets & a heater. Our original plan was to stay for a Thursday, Friday & Saturday night. Upon booking I was told by Sarah that they were running this really great promotion! YIPPEEE!! Stay 3 nights, get the 4th free! We didn’t really have a need for this because we planned on arriving on Thursday around noon & departing around 5pm on Sunday, plus she told me that they would hold our bags on Sunday while we walked around since check out is so early. Because we would be arriving at noon instead of the check-in time of 4pm, Sarah offered to tack the free night onto Wednesday so that we would be able to go right in upon arrival. SOUNDS GREAT! Doesn’t it?! OR SO I THOUGHT. We were unable to check-in until 3pm on Thursday anyways & by Saturday morning we were told by the news that all visitors and tourists were being evacuated because of a tropical storm (possible hurricane) that was heading right for the Key’s. Before deciding to leave on Saturday we went into the office & spoke to Jesse, who informed us that we would be credited one of the days for our stay. She took a business card & wrote $414 on the back of it (the amount of one of the nights) & informed us that we would receive an email with the details of our credit. Although I was upset about the all-around shortened trip, at least I felt like I could come back for a night with another guest that wasn’t able to make it there at all. Great customer service… OR SO I THOUGHT. By Thursday they had charged my card for the remaining balance (how convenient for them) but I had yet to receive an email regarding the credit so I decided to call. Thus, the nightmare began. I was informed by Jesse (the same girl telling us we would get a credit) that we would NOT be receiving a credit because that Saturday night was our “free” night. I explained that we were being asked to evacuate & only stayed 2 of the 4 days that
