Reviews for this vacation home rental in Las Vegas, Nevada
Loads of Luxury and Location, Location, Location!
May 12, 2015
We planned a family reunion in Vegas and rented this newly rehabbed home. We needed the comforts of home but still wanted to feel like we were on vacation. Well, we had the best of both worlds! The house was furnished beautifully, leather couches, new beds, mattresses and quality bedding. Flat screens in all bedrooms, living room and family room. The three bathrooms were large and newly tiled in stone and granite. Great water pressure. The layout of the house provided privacy for those who needed rest from the Vegas sun while those who wanted the party to continue could do so without causing a disturbance. As Chicagoans, we really looked forward to pool time and were not disappointed. The large pool with waterfall display and lights for the kids at night and hot tub got plenty of use. (Only setback was the additional cost to heat it since it was cool at night during our trip). The pool man came by and kept it clean and we helped out since we stayed for a week. We enjoyed using the gas grill and no corners were cut on the quality of the outdoor table and chairs, fire pit table and cushy rockers, L-shaped couches all under an overhead shelter with individually controlled fans. The large dining room set was gorgeous and allowed us to host a great family dinner. The brand spanking new stainless washer and dryer off the newly enclosed garage was a treat to bring all clean clothes home and put them away after unpacking. The coup de grace was the new gameroom with a billiards table and built in wet bar with wine refrigerator. The owner who knew we were entertaining showed up and loaded the glass door cabinets with more barware than one could use for 100 people! And the oversized game room couch with powered recliners was the absolute bomb. Hard to believe you would find this type of upscale furniture in a rental! The owners were totally accommodating. We did not want to leave the house however when we did, it was only ten minutes to the strip! Close to Costco, several grocery stores and plenty of shopping. Some of our family will be attending various functions over the next year and definitely plan to rent it again. Only suggestion would be installing a handrail to make it easier for those who need it to get in and out the pool and furnishing a little more in the way of paper goods and kitchen utensils. Other than that this rental deserves at least 4.5 stars!
never stay here

#1- We did not receive the $100 refundable deposit and we left it in better shape than it was in when we arrived! Our numerous attempts to contact the website and owner were frustrating as they just went in circles with long phone holds and no resolution. #2. - Cleaniliness- there were dead flies on the window sills, a handfull of crumbs in the master bed (we had to wash sheets before we slept), the blender didn't work, paint job looked like a child did it, tiles were broken, linoleum peeling up and cracked, gigantic stains in the carpet in all rooms, handrail on stairs was not attached, table and chairs had rungs broken and missing, there were weeks of dust, and the mirrors had teeth brushing spray on them- need I continue? 3. Suspicious- the postman stopped by and thought we were the family of the woman who rented the house and asked to please pick up the mail as it was overflowing the box. We explained we were only renting for 3 days and the property manager was a man. (Earlier during our stay a man we assumed was the manager, and 2 women had dropped a car off to store in the garage.) Mail carrier wondered what was going on... #3 Also, our credit card was charged to a company written in Spanish and caused some confusion with our bank. #4 Good- The pool was clean and heated on arrival We made the most of the situaiton but definately feel ripped off.
