At night, sit together in the comfy living room and enjoy preparing dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Three commodious bedrooms comfortably accommodate 6 people. The bedroom on first floor can also be used perfectly as a retreat for reading and has its own porch attached to it. There are two bath-/restrooms, one with bath tub and shower cabin. Being in close touch with nature in an idyllic scenery and just a few minutes away from the beautiful beaches and Town centre of Little Compton make the house a great summer retreat.
Little Compton is a historic New England coastal town at the tip of a peninsula in Rhode Island surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. Our house is just a few minutes drive away from the beautiful sand beaches. Find great conditions for surfriding, beach hiking, or simply relaxing in the sand dunes or on the rocks high above the surf. In the neighboring town of Westport there's Horseneck Beach State Reservation, another fine long sand beach providing excellent wind surfing and also known for great birding opportunities. The historic town center, 'The Commons', holds everything needed for an authentic New England vacation. Try the famous Johnny Cakes or Clam Showder in 'The Commons Lunch' and find everything under the sun under one roof at Wilbur's General Store. Little Compton is an excellent starting point for excursions to New England's various sights like Newport with its Gilded Age Mansions or Cape Cod. Ferries from near-by New Bedford take you to legendary Martha's Vineyard.
