Not What We Anticipated
July 28, 2013
THE GOOD • Master BR bed comfortable and cool. • Refrigerator worked. • Water/plumbing was good. • Wi-Fi worked. • All beds reasonably firm and good. • They allowed early arrival/access to unit. • Building relatively secure. • Location THE BAD • Smaller than advertised. Some bedrooms little more than large closets with inadequate ventilation. Common areas generally inadequate for more than 4. • Furnishings generally old, stained and mis-matched. • Building dirty/unkept and a little sketchy. • Street noise. • Stove only half worked. • One television didn’t work. • Multiple doors to the unit. • 212 Suites difficult to contact. Scant communications leading up to arrival. THE UGLY • Living room couch was filthy. I was ashamed to have others sit on it. Refused to sleep on it. • Unit was old and generally dirty. Walls with cracks and water damage. Closets filled with junk. • Downstairs toilet broken. • Light bulbs/fixtures missing, broken or inadequate. • Air Conditioning HORRIBLY INADEQUATE. Had to wait 2 days for installation of 2nd unit. Installed 3rd unit myself.

Apt rental that NEVER existed!!!

This was my first trip to New York and was so EXCITED. Everything was planned all the way to dotting all the I's and crossing the T's at least I thought up until the last week before arriving. When completing final confirmation checks, I found that reservations that has been made through 212 Suites for this apartment was all a hoax. And the managing company Vrotel for the apartment, while they could confirm all my booking information could not honor the reservation nor assist in any manner to help me get back the deposit of $502 that was paid when reserving. The only apology that was given was in reference to me not receiving a rejection letter from them 7 months ago when these arrangements were made.
Perfect location, not newly renovated!

We were 8 people who were staying in this apartment. The cleanness was below average and it needs some improvement to the furniture standards and bathrooms. The location at 51:th st was perfect. Close to Time Square and other attractions.
