beach and deck fabulous, interior not ok

September 30, 2013

Outstanding large open deck with white hard plastic chaise lounges, wicker chairs, cushioned. Comfy and right on the water! Also picnic table and overhead roll up cloth awning. Path beside cottage, just feet to the beach. Beautiful views, soothing surf.. Long walks.. Outside every thing you could want. Interior disappointing and not accurately reflected in photos . New very small bathroom, shower stall. Furniture mostly shabby and uncomfortable. Pillows etc. not clean, some torn, probably from hard use during the peak summer months. Small space, well organized. A place to be totally outdoors. Lots of TV's, We were small group, not interested in television. Electronic hookups available for those who want to work during vacation. NO central air as advertised, irather individual units in windows. beds uncomfortable and need to be replaced.. Cottage itself is VERY small, , Owner had avoided question of total square feet. Attic dorm is rough but ok for older kids. Water heater, heating equipment all exposed so a danger to smaller children. Stairs to attic unsafe wirth loose railing. Multiple electric wire connectors which seemed overloaded and potentially unsafe. No dw or w&d. Overall however we had happy experience outdoors and would go again with no expectations of comfortable interior and if safety concerns corrected. Cottage a great disappointment. If, however all you want is a great place on the beach with beautiful deck you will be happy.
