Reviews for this vacation home rental in Massanutten, Virginia

We had a wonderful time at Massanutten! This home filled our needs, but does need some TLC. We have stayed here before, and it is now showing some wear. The kitchen plugs while cooking with griddles, kept tripping the breaker. For the money, this was the best deal! It is located very near the slopes and tubing park. We did have a Wonderful time!!

The exterior pictures do not do this home much justice. It is simply georgeous and it was too much house for us. We take a family trip together every year and vowed not to repeat any sites. My family seems perfectly willing to break that vow. LOL. My only very small complaint is the fact that the manual can opener does not work. This put a little damper on our menu plans. We'll bring our own the next time!

I don't agree with the review left by Mrs. Hutchinson. This house is in very good condition. My family thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
Needs updating and repair
April 15, 2013
The house is in a fantastic location on a nice, quiet street. Its really big and spacious. However, some updates/general maintenance is needed. Railing going downstairs is loose; furniture is warn, screen porch needs repair, ... squirrels kept getting in to the garbage. The kitchen and bathrooms are pretty small. Really liked the big dining table and the beds were comfortable. It wasn't bad.... and I think it gets a lot of wear and tear during the ski season. We liked the house and enjoyed our time there.

This was the easiest property I've ever rented. This home is very private tucked at the end of a street. Rooms are very private, and home is way bigger than it seems. Fully equipped kitchen all the way down to the tin foil and cleaning supplies. Owner is very kind and easy to work with. Security deposit was refunded under 24 hours. We had a wonderful trip, and made memories to last. Don't over look this home, It's a great find! Thanks you to the Rogers family for sharing your home!
Our stay at the Overlook
January 19, 2008
We rented this house in 11/07 and had a really nice time. First time to the Massanutten area and we happened to pick the perfect home/location. This house is up the mountain, approximately 1/2 mile from the ski lodge and country store. There is a large indoor water park down the mountain which is great for the kids...an all day adventure! The Overlook is nicely decorated inside and very roomy. Owner was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with! We will definitely be returning to the Overlook!

This was a wonderful place for our extended family. It sleeps 14 but keep in mind that includes two queen size sleepers. Kitchen needs a toaster that works. Great gathering space in living/dining area. We all enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
