Reviews for this vacation home rental in Massanutten, Virginia
January 26, 2010
This Christmas our family decided not to do a lot of shopping and exchange of gifts but rather to plan a family weekend get-away in January. This house was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the pool table and the other games available. There were 6 adults and 3 children. The bedrooms and baths offered privacy for everyone involved. We had a great time on Saturday snow tubing and the Blue Ridge Buffet was a nice treat for one of our meals. We would definitely rent this house again.

house was a bit old. beds not that comfy. pool table and foosball table were warped. things could be updated. but overall, the house was a good deal for the money. good location in the massanutten resort.
house good, resort not so much

The Hickory Oaks Chalet was great, beautiful, but management was sorely lacking. House was out of trash bags, toilet paper, no soap, and the maintenance crew's idea of clearing snow from an uphill driveway was pathetic. Rental management could not be reached when we had these concerns. Resort staff were equally unhelpful when we had questions about resort activities.
