This place was a nightmare! No hot water at the important times of day, i.e. morning and late afternoon. There is a laundry business attached to the place and they use up all the hot water. I had a terrible fall, (a houskeeper left the corridor on the second floor soaking wet, with no "caution wet floor" cone to warn the person walking and I literally flew in the air and hit my head against a solid cement wall; almost knocked myself out. Attended hospital where everything was found to be fine except for a bad headache for a couple of days. When I presented the bill to "Nasha", (about 1000 pesos, roughly $100), she refused to pay it. How thoughtless! Nasha's staff, in her office area, yelled at me when I presented my hospital bill saying that I should have NOT gone to the "Sharp" hospital because "it was too expensive". The Sombrero staff were absolutely lovely. The running of the place is horrible. Drunk people all over the place....People vomiting in the stairwell....Do not venture anywhere near this place.

We enjoyed our place in Mazatlan. The staff at the Sombero suites were really good especially Raphel and our cleaning ladies. The place was clean and very convienent location. The buses stopped right out front and we had no problem getting around. Our only complaint was we could use the pool next door at the Solamar Inn but it was like taking a plunge for a polar bear dip ,NO HEAT not even solar heat< therefore we would not go back . When laying around the pool(which was gorgeous and well kept) we had no where to go to cool off.It was such a shame as the pool was nice but no one could use it.

Great location and super awesome staff, Rafayel and Herman you are the best. Good value for the money. It is so sad that Nash does not appreciate what she has for staff and pays them nothing....... cheers.

We really enjoyed our month long stay there and have in fact made our reservations for this coming January! We felt the area was safe and conveinient to everything we needed. Wonderful restaurants within walking distances. The people in the area are nice and we made many friends. Can't wait to get back and see how they are all doing... Our suite was exactly as was advertised and we were really pleased!

Mar Azul is a quaint condo and just a walk away from beautiful beaches and just around the corner from local shops. Mar Azul was the nicest place we could have found, and the pricing was very reasonable. We had a great cleaning lady and all the staff was very accomodating. We will definately stay at Mar Azul each time we visit Mazatlan, and we will definitely be back.
Quaint and clean

We stayed here and really enjoyed the quiet. It is modestly priced, cute, clean and within walking istance to most restaurants and the beach. The owners are very accomadating and you also get a percentage off of the hotel solamar restaurant and drinks and the food is fantastic and cheap, It is a Great buy for a person on a budget.
great rates and great units

These are very lovely clean and quiet and the rental rates are terrific. They are off the main road and we were pleasantly surprised at the size and charming character of our apartment. I would reccomend these and stay again for sure. they are close to everything and within walking distance to restaurants and bus or taxis.
