Excellent relation price-quality

Joe fue muy atento y detallista. El lugar es fantástico. A 4 cuadras de la playa. El auto entra a un estacionamiento compartido y estaciona justo al lado de la puerta de servicio del departamento ya que es numerada (el departamento tiene 2 puertas: una principal y la segunda en la cocina que da al estacionamiento privado, que aunque se comparte con el resto de los miembros del edificio, es seguro y tranquilo). La única queja que tengo es que el departamento podría estar más limpio teniendo en cuenta que abonamos la limpieza como cargo único (usd 65): o sea, deberían entregarlo impecable. Especialmente la cocina estaba muy sucia (con grasa en ventanas y utensilios y cacerolas sucias) La segunda no es queja: es sugerencia: debería haber más toallas y un juego de sabanas más nuevo: el que está es viejito ya. Si transmito estas inquietudes es porque quiero que mejore ya que pienso volver. Ah! Me olvidaba: en el departamento hay sombrilla y flotadores para pasar un mejor día de playa aún.

Very Disappointed

My wife and I spent 1 month (Feb. 3 to Match 5, 2015) in the condo Rental 44511 with owner Joe V. We are very disappointed with the owner, who did not return the deposit of $300 USD to us. On March 4, 2015, one day before our departure the owner Joe advised us to leave the condo keys, car pass and to lock the condo since he was not in position to come. He also said that he will send the deposit to my PayPal account. On March 5, as instructed we left the condo in perfect condition ( it was even cleaned up since my wife is very strict about that) As of today March 14, no money were transferred to my account and the owner Joe, did not answer my E mails. I believe that there is no excuse for such behavior and am giving one star, because there is no possibility for lower rating. Anton Ratchev

It is a nice quiet family place. Close to grocery, drug store, Catholic church, good restaurants. Closed, gated parking area is nice. One of the best things was a free dog park very close by. I think the doggy had as much fun as me! Internet worked flawlessly, though the cable TV choices could have been better. TVs are not flat screen and no hi def. Living room furniture would be better if it had a real sofa instead of a futon. Bed is comfortable, A/C worked great when I needed it but, most of the time I would rather have had heat and there is no furnace...but the weather was a fluke. Coldest January since 1992 there. Beach is EXCELLENT. Never felt like it was crowded. Very secure. Lots of lifeguards and beach police visible at all times. Best part of the trip was dealing with Joe, the landlord. What a nice, personable, accommodating guy. Honest and trustworthy, he is just a super great guy. I highly recommend renting from him....just hope you have better weather than I did!

False resprenstation of property

The owner has two listing in this one photo shot. I pick the first set of picutures(condo) and upon my arrival I got the second set of pictures (condo). The photos are old and not what is true to life. The condo needed cleaning, the vinyl blinds were dirty and broken. Window units filthy, along with the walls. The bathroom had mold around the tub and soap dish. The location is not the best for family. My children did not feel comfortable. I pulled out a sheet to cover the so called sofa and found a stain on it! That was my final straw. His policy was CASH upon arrival and I felt very uncomfortable about that too. I called the owner that night and told him we were leaving. We did not spend one night there. The next day, he did meet me back at the condo and I advised his condo was not represented well by his pictures or location. I showed him the sheet and he said he had others that I could have used. I paid the first night rental plus a cleaning fee. I wanted my deposit back plus the second night rental and cleaning fee returned since I did not use the place. I felt that he should keep the first night rent but return the rest. HE REFUSED! I will not use this website for future travel plans. I am a travel agent and will advise other of this. I felt my reason was justified that the monies should be returned due to false representation. I want only what I am entitled to.

Excellent location (is 5 blocks at 8500 Collins Ave.) Garage in the condo. A place to stay at a very good price. Can walk to the beach. We stayed for 15 days and we are very happy we chose this place. If you want a comfortable apartment in a quiet neighborhood called Joe (if you are looking for luxury is not your place). It was great for our holiday (shopping, beach and nightlife). Thanks Joe! Marian and Hugo (from Argentina) Exelente ubicación (está a 5 cuadras de Ave Collins al 8500). Garage en el condominio. Un lugar donde poder alojarte a un muy buen precio. Podes ir caminando a la playa. Estuvimos alojados por 15 días y estamos muy contentos de haberlo elegido este lugar. DO NOT ENTER INTO A RENTAL AGREEMENT FOR THIS PROPERTY UNTIL YOU OR A TRUSTED FRIEND HAS PERSONALLY CHECKED IT OUT! We learned an expensive lesson. The landlord required the full 2 months' rent to be paid in advance, and this on-line agreement is iron-clad, you will not get your money back. upon arrival at the unit, we were horrified. It was not only not as advertised, it was awful. As far as "not in the middle", it is in a neighborhood that, to state it politely, is not appropriate for a "vacation rental",even though it is only several blocks from the beautiful area of Miami Beach, the beautiful area ends abruptly and you find yourself in an "inner city" looking neighborhood. Do not rely on the other reviews that you see, check it out for yourself. The "gated entry" is a solid iron gate, the community is surrounded by a solid wall, you cannot see into the community when the gate is closed. There is nothing remotely resembling "landscaping", only concrete and a little grass. The "porch" is a STOOP, a few steps up to a landing just big enough to open the door and go in. It is in no way a porch, no place for furniture, not a usable outdoor space at all. When we entered the unit we were horrified. There is a very unpleasant, unidentifiable ODOR that permeates the unit. It’s true that we could see that it had been cleaned thoroughly, no dirt or dust, sinks clean, etc., but it just isn’t a nice place. The kitchen is dingy, as is the whole unit. The blinds in the living room were cracked and bent. The bathroom had no towels, not even toilet paper, the cabinet was empty also, and the door stuck so badly that my husband had to help me open it from the other side! The bed appeared to be made, but we did not see any linens anywhere. We also did not see a washer and dryer, although we were only there for about 15 minutes, it was so awful we couldn't stay in there. When you inspect the place, check for this. We had to leave and stay with friends until we found another place, and we were out the $2800 rent! DO NOT PUT DOWN MORE THAN A SMALL SECURITY DEPOSIT, AN AMOUNT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE, AND DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS IN THE WEBSITE UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THIS PLACE.

Great MIAMI BEACH CONDO rental

Condo: Convenient, Quite, Safe and Simply wonderful Condo for short term vacation or long term business rent. Amenities (towels, beddings and etc. check out description above), and basic household appliances are included. It was only food and personal items I had to buy. Kitchen had everything you need; pots, pans and cutlery. Internet was High Speed, and I never ever had a problem with connection. It has a comfortable firm bed in a bedroom and convertible couches in the living room. There is a private parking. Neighbors are quite, and friendly. Many are families, creating a home like environment. The condo is in residential area with close access to the beach, stores and restaurants. Swimming and Beach: The closest beach is located very close (5 minutes walk) to one of the best Beaches for swimming (ranked by Frommer's). The Beach is right beside North Shore Open Space Park. The park itself is on Collins Ave. Grocery Shopping: Restaurants, and places such as barber shops, grocery stores such as Publix or CVS pharmacy and dry cleaners are nearby. If you would like to shop, and try different restaurants, travel south on Collins Ave. Any location you travel to will either have an affordable or very expensive food, clothes or souvenir places (just a matter of visiting couple of stores and finding your limit or comfort zone). I highly recommend to get a car if you would like to shop at Wallmart, TJ Max, or travel to South Beach (which is very close and has a great beach but often very crowded). Sometimes you can spot a celebrity in South Beach. Personal Shopping and Entertainment: One of the very nice Malls is "Aventura Mall" (15-20 minutes away). It has everything from Sears to AMC movie theatre. Sales are often on the weekend, between Friday and Sunday. Joe is very nice and always happy to give advice and help out. Pleasure to be his tenant.

Nice place - few minor critics

First of all this is a really nice place. Close to the beach. Two parks are near to the condo, too. Otherwise there is not much around. Nearest supermarket and restaurant is approx 10 min away. The apartment is nice and clean. Kitchen was equipped with everything needed. The bathroom is quiet small and missing storage space, especially if you are looking for a place to dry wet towels. The bedroom and sitting room is very nice. Just the bed seemed a bit old and should be replaced. But the condo has 2 TVs and Internet (Just not Wi-Fi). The house itself is in a good shape but not the quietest place at night. If you have a light sleep, bring some earplugs. Good parking situation in closed parking lot or on the street. The owner is a nice guy and willing to help out wherever he can. To sum up: For the price definitely a good deal!!!

Owner misrepresented the condo and we left

The owner misrepresented this condo. He advertised that the furniture was brand new. It was not new at all. The condo in no way was represented by the attractive pictures. When I complained to the owner and wanted the apartment shown, he said it was unavailable. When I asked for him to return my deposit or I would bring this up to small claims court, he hung up the phone. His rationale was that the layout of the apartment was the same as the pictures. My issue was that this was an unattractive condo and not accurately represented. I am further disappointed that when I tried to contact Vacation Home Rentals and sent them complaints, I did not receive any reply. I sent an email when this occurred on April 24th and then when Paypal notified me that they could not make the owner refund the deposit. I would appreciate your consideration in this matter as I don't anticipate this is the norm with your organization.

the best place to stop in miami

Me and my family had wonderful 3 weeks vacation there. The apartament is quite large with large bathroom. The location is great - directly on the beautiful beach and very close to restaurants and grocery store. Parking was included in price so we save money. We highly recommend that condo.

It is a nice one bedroom apartment set among two story buildings. The location is ideal. Anything better would be on the beach but those properties are very expensive. Paying this kind of rent, do not expect expensive and very comfortable furniture. It is just comfortable. I looked at various other properties when I was there and they were much more expensive. The place is only a few minutes walk to a park. Cross the park and you are on the beach! The beach gets a little crowded on the weekends otherwise it felt a like a private beach. I swam almost regularly during my stay. There was a slight problem with Wifi 4 times in one month. Proper service always returned next day. Most residents are long time residents. Families live here and we felt very much at home. All apartments have outside exposure and inside exposure of the secured parking lot. All apartments have large 4 X 8 ft windows on three sides which brings in the nice ocean breeze. The palm trees and flowering shrubs make it very nice. The kitchen was well equipped but lacking a toaster which I bought and left it for others who will follow. Eating in Miami beach is quite expensive so if you are traveling on a budget and staying for a long time, it makes sense to live in a place which has a kitchen. Bal Harbour shops are only 5 minutes drive to the North. If you can afford to pay $2,900 for a sports jacket and $600 for a dress shirt at Saks, then go and stay at Aqualina Resort that charges $600 to $3,000 per day! However, if you are not in that league then stay here, just go and visit Bal Harbour Shops and appreciate its beauty. Go shopping at Kohls, Marshalls and Ross For Less. You will find excellent deals of designer's merchandise at very low prices. Most of these stores are about 10 to 15 minutes away. You need a car to get around. Overall we had a very good and memorable stay. The President of the group that own this building, Joe, is very friendly and attempts to address any problem you may have quickly. Give this place a try and you will be happy you did.

Nice Apartment, very quiet area indeed

Nice and spacious apartment. It's perfect for 2-4 persons. A car is handy to get around. We didn't feel unsafe at all. To the beach by car, 3-5 min. To South Beach 15 min, when no traffic jam. Supermarkets close by, easy to cook yourself if you don't fancy going out / fast food every day. Bed is clean. We were just the 2 of us, my husband and myself, so we didn't try out the sofa bed in the living room. Internet was not stable, but manageable. Joe got us new pans for cooking, cause the old ones were not good anymore. We used the apartment as a base to get back to after a cruise and Orlando visit. We prefer this much over a hotel. We left our big luggage in the apartment, no need to carry around, or check in/check out. Very convenient.

This property is great away from all the travelers chaos but still near everything and everywhere you would want to be AND the owner is great too... I had never been to Miami and this was a spur of the trip for spring break with little time to find a decent place that was also affordable for a college student. It was more than expected, a very comfortable stay. The owner helped me so much and i truly appreciate the hospitality.

This condo is clean & modern with all amenities you could possibly need as in the pics. I stayed here for about 3 months & was very satisfied. The owner is prompt, courteous & helpful, making sure everything is in order. All in all a great guy. The neighborhood is residential and quiet. The location is fantastic; we are talking about walking distance to a great spot on the beach & a park, supermarkets, stores, a nice library(!) & nice restaurants up & down the block & South Beach nightlife just a short distance away. The really nice Aventura Mall is close by too & Bal Har. Shops. I couldn't have been more happy with the place. It suited my needs perfectly. When I come back to Miami & I definitely will, this is the place I want to be. If I want the ritz of South Beach I can get it - If I want my own quiet spot on the beach I have that too. Perfect.The apartment will room up to 4 people comfortably & is in a secure environment. I can only recommend as you will not be disappointed.

Our recent stay was everything promised. The condo was CLEAN, nicely decorated and comfortable. Close to everything but not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of all the other tourists. Is a confortable condo perfect for summer vacations at the beach & shopping time!! All services near: supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, etc.. Security is perfect and is a very quiet place.. The owner is a friendly and servicial person.

I stayed at this lovely condo/apartment while on a short break in miami, the area is a short drive to south beach, the surroundings was beautiful, the condo was cosy, clean, secure gated development, comfortable and most of all beautiful. its got all of your requirements, the owner was very welcoming, showed me around and all I needed to know, I definately enjoyed my stay and would return again. and this is a recommendation for anyone wishing to stay in a lovely place for the right price.
