family retreat

December 30, 2014

we spent 3 nights and 4 days at the cabin and we very much enjoyed our visit. the best part of the visit was that your phone doesn't work and there is no Wi-Fi. you are able to spend quality time with your family and are not distracted by them. there were 7 adults and 5 children and we spent the day eating, chilling by the fire both inside and outside, playing games with children and talking with family/friends. the cabin is spacious. kitchen is 90% equipped with things you need. a few things that i wish the kitchen had were bowls for eating and working knives (knives were dull and you really need to be careful so you don't cut yourself). the basement had washer and dryer and the owners provided soaps. just be cautious not to run the washer, shower and kitchen sink at the same time. the water pressure is low when you do that. at times, the shower had very little water pressure. Barb, the owner, was very friends and responded to our emails very quickly. in the winter time, there isn't much to do outside but i think during the summer, it'd be really awesome to spend time there. if possible, we are thinking about returning to the cabin for the summer

Fantastic Cabin in the Catskills!

January 31, 2011

We spent a week here in late January and had a fabulous time. The cabin is gorgeous and sits on a lovely, secluded property that's close to amenities. The property has everything you'll need for your stay (including a great kitchen!) and is extremely clean and well-kept. A bonus - the fantastic art work by Joseph Garlock that fills the cabin! We would highly recommend this property and the owners were also great to deal with! We hope to have the opportunity to visit again! Pamela & David

great retreat

October 25, 2010

No TV, no internet and no cell phone signal...but enjoyed every minute of it. If it were not for the rain that weekend, we would have a greater time outdoors. The cabin was big but cozy. It was also clean and well kept. MY kids loved it there...the creek nestled in the woods at the back of the house, the small lake a few steps from the cabin, the large front and side yard. They even had a mini hike at the back of the house. But most of all, my husband and I loved the location being in a secluded mountain area. Thank you Barb and Fred for letting us stay in your cabin.

Dream Come True

October 17, 2010

We stayed 2 nites in the green cabin. It truly was amazing. Very beautiful and quiet and private. We extended our stay to 2 nites from 1, b/c it was so wonderful. Would definitely like to come back and stay longer. Fred & Barb are very friendly and helpful. They live just a few mins down the road so they are close by if you need anything. Enjoyed the hike in the woods behind the cabin & also the Hyde Caverns. What a beautiful place. Thank you Barb & Fred

Blue Review

August 23, 2010

We were surprised by how large and well built this log cabin was. The centrally located fireplace is beautifully built and efficiently warmed up the cabin in no time. It also provided a beautiful background for taking pictures. We enjoyed the hiking trails and the many amenities of the surrounding woods. Barbara and Fred, the cabin owners, were both friendly and helpful. We would recommend this place to anyone, and definitely consider it for an encore visit ourselves.
