Amazing Getaway just outside of Nashville

June 18, 2015

We came to Nashville looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of CMA Festival and what we got was WAY more! The property is simply breath taking. Morning coffee on the porch was so refreshing. Mary and her husband were gracious hosts and provided everything we needed for our stay, even the much needed BUG SPRAY! But we really enjoyed our stay and plan to visit and hopefully stay in this cabin again.

Owner's reply:

Amy, You and your friends are always welcome. What wonderful gracious guests!

A nice stay

May 12, 2015

Magical entrance up a tree-lined drive to a comfortable cabin. Next to a state park with plenty of wildlife in both the park and on the grounds (though I still haven't figured out why one of the turkeys was so intent on trying to get into our car). Cabin itself comfortably furnished; very nice owner. Two large, comfortable bedrooms. One bath might have been a drawback had we had more than four in our party.

Mary B.

Owner's reply:

Stephen.. You and your family were wonderful guests. I couldn't ask for more kind and appreciative visitors. I'm glad you appreciate the nature.. it still amazes me after all these years. Please visit again.

beyond our expectations

September 16, 2014

Precious log cabin. So cozy. So clean. So private. We hiked, read books, watched deer every morning. A wonderful escape yet so close to Nashville. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Mary B.

Owner's reply:

Diane,

Thank you. I am so glad you enjoyed the place. It has been an amazing year for deer on the property -- two bucks, five fawns, and many does. It is like they've taken up residence. Please come back and visit again you are always welcome.

Very Peaceful

August 3, 2014

Our family of four had the most delighful stay at this cottage, owners could not have been more accomendating, with the wild nature at your back and front door and a pool in the backyard, one could not ask for anymore. It was a simple short drive into Nashville with all it's hustle and bustle, but getting back to this cabin was the perfect retreat!!

amazing little cottage

July 17, 2014

I am so glad we decided to stay at this cottage. My family and I enjoyed it immensely. It is the perfect mix of out in the country and close to the city. The wildlife roaming by the house was amazing and I almost had a deer eat right out of my hand. We will be booking again in the future the next time we visit Nashville. It felt like home as soon as I walked in.

Mary B.

Owner's reply:

Chad, Thank you. Please come visit again.

BEST VACATION EVER

June 12, 2013

I loved this home, I call it a home and not a house because I truly felt at home. The owners are beyond helpful. I just can't say a single bad thing about anything, from the process of renting to the actual stay to afterwards. I hope to visit TN again and this will be the first place I will check for availability. My family and I had the best time.Thank you so much.

Log Home Retreat

May 29, 2013

Great getaway from the normal stays in Nashville. Still close to the city and truly enjoyed the wildlife. The property was clean and decorated nicely. Would definitely stay there again and the pool is a plus depending on the weather. Don't know if its heated or not but too cool to swim in when we were there.

Just Amazing!

April 21, 2013

This is the cutest, most comfortable cabin! Such charm! Maryann was so helpful and nice! The pool was just perfect! It is definitely a nature lover's dream! Rustic, but that is the real charm about it! Our only complaint is that our trip was way to short! We will be back for a longer time!

Mary B.

Owner's reply:

Jackie,
I loved having you -- and can't tell you how happy it makes me when other people enjoy my storybook cabin. That aside, you were one of the best guests I've ever had. You left the place so neat and tidy -- I appreciate that. Please come back and visit again.

Family Vacation

August 15, 2012

We traveled to Tn to see our son, we wanted a place were we could all get together as a family that was quiet and relaxing. The Log Home was just what we were looking for, there was everything we needed right there, we could enjoy the wildlife, swim in the pool and spend the evenings sitting on the patio around the fire pit makind S'mores! The cabin was decorated beautifully and had all you will need for a perfect week or weekend away from the city, but close enough to go into town or go out on the lake. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a peacefull getaway.

Mary B.

Owner's reply:

Jean,

Thank you for the kind words. I love seeing families like yours enjoy the peace, nature, and beauty of my little cabin. It is a very special place to me, and I hope you and your family come back next year.
