Reviews for this vacation home rental in Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas
October 26, 2011
As four medical students on an elective we wanted to stay somewhere relatively close to the hospital whilst also enjoying what the island had to offer, on what was supposed to be a trip of a lifetime. We enjoyed our time on the island but there were a number of things however. The owner insisted that she would take us on a tour as we staying for 6 weeks, but once we had paid in her full for our stay, we never heard from them again. On leaving the property, we expected our deposit to be returned before we left. The owner however insisted that she would send this on at a later date as previous guests had made international calls and thus she wanted to wait until her phone bill arrived. We reluctantly agreed as she came across as quite a genuine, trustworthy person. Three months later however, despite numerous phone calls and assurances that we would receive our deposit ($500), we have received nothing. Since leaving the property we never received a reply to our numerous emails and now the phone numbers she supplied me with no longer work. I have contacted a debt collection agency in Nassau, simply for the principle. We went to your island in the hope of doing some good, in helping in your hospital, only to essentially be robbed by you. Thanks for that. To potential renters; avoid.
Stunning home away from home!!

We rented the house for 5 nights and absolutely fell in love. The place was beautiful, spacious and perfectly located halfway between Cable Beach and the downtown area. I would recommend renting a car if you do not want to lug groceries by bus or taxi since the store is not within walking distance. Exiting the driveway is a bit treacherous if you are not used to driving on the left side of the road, but we managed. The only con was some minor things needed replacing in the kitchen which made cooking a little more difficult. The pros: the views from the front 2 bedrooms upstairs were amazing and the master bath was unbelievable. Downstairs is HUGE and great for friends to come over for dinner, so much communal space. We had my bridal shower there and it was perfect!! The owners of the house are also wonderful and very hospitable. They were readily available when we had any questions or concerns. We will definitely rent again if we make future trips to Nassau. I'm a tough critic so this is a raving review!!
Keep away from this place

We bitterly regret having been conned into renting this place. The owner assured us the house was ten seconds walk from the beach, which matters because we have a two-year old daughter. In spite of a long telephone conversation to ascertain all the details, the owner neglected to mention that there was an extremely busy and noisy road in between the house and the beach. As for the beach, it's about ten square foot of sand, hemmed in on either side by large blocks of concrete. And it is two foot from a very busy road. The pictures included on this site are very misleading. It makes what is an ugly and dark house look light and attractive. And there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance. We tried to get a refund based on the fact that we had been given a completely false description but the owner refused. If you want a pleasant and relaxing vacation this is the last place you should go. We were lied to and cheated.

great home with a great location

this home is super cute and in a great location for everything. we had 5 people in our party and we all were more than comfortable in the house. the #10 bus picks you up right in front and for $1.25 you can go pretty much anywhere. there is a supermarket close by and since there is a full kitchen in the house we were able to cut costs by having our own food and drinks at home. there is a small beach right in front of the house which is unfrequented therefor when we went swimming we saw all kinds of fish including starfish and all kinds of huge shells and sand dollars. we wouldn't have found such staying in a more crowded area. overall, we loved loved loved the house! we would all recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, spacious and convenient location! we would definitely stay again!!

My stay at the Sundance Property was amazing. I stayed there with 7 other friends and we all slept confortably. The house is located right in front of the beach, amazing views! None of us ever noticed the street noises, we slept with no problem at all. Taxis and Jitneys pass right in front of the house at all times of the day so you can always get anywhere on the island. The kitchen was wonderful, the little backyard is really nice for BBQs, everything was in great order and functioning really well. Would recomend to anyone who wants to have a great time in the Bahamas! Thank you very much Marie!
