"Mom and Bill have created an incredibly comfortable space, and I love how my mom has decorated the place. The back courtyard area is peaceful, with a small fountain, a variety of plants, and welcomed shade on a hot day. I also enjoy sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee. The house is located in a convenient spot, with easy access to all of New Orleans and Metairie. But do drive slowly on the streets around the house; potholes are a New Orleans specialty! We always really look forward to our visits here! " -- Jessica
Marta & I met in Jr. high in Chicago. I moved away ,but she was in our wedding in 1970. We have both retired from teaching and I recently visited them in lovely N.O. where they were great hosts. I would recommend them because they are flexible, fun, and love the arts ie. music, theater, fine arts, and food! Yes, food is an art form in New Orleans. Bon Appetit! -- Ann
I've known Marta and Bill for many years; they are both interesting and artistic and the type of people who make friends wherever they go. Their cottage is a perfect gem! Cozy and convenient to the city and located in great old district that has been beautifully restored since Katrina. Near bus lines and parks, and like everything in New Orleans, close to many good restaurants. You couldn't find better hosts in a fun-loving and artistic city, full of good music and great food, than these two hosts who truly enjoy and are part of the specialness of New Orleans!-- Margie
We had a really nice stay. The place was spacious, pretty, and clean. It was very relaxing and a nice place to rest our heads after being out and about in New Orleans. We rented a car and it was a quick drive to the heart of the city. The only negative thing may be that it was next to the highway, but it didn't really affect us too much since it was still very quiet.-- Mark L. guest June 20013
We had a great experience in the Creole cottage. We're from France and it was our first time in Louisiana. The situation is perfect, only a few minutes drive to New Orleans. We appreciated the neighborood which was very quite and safe. The house is perfectly equipped and nicely decorated. Thank you Marta for your kindness. We'll recommend your neat house to friends.-- Sandrine, guest, June 2013
We loved the creole cottage! It was clean, cozy and in a great location. We truly appreciated Marta's friendliness and willingness to work with us at the very last minute. We had an awesome spontaneous trip to New Orleans and owe a large part of that to lucking out here on airbnb with the Creole Cottage :) Thanks, Marta!-- Audrey, guest June 2013
Experience could not have been better. GREAT, location; central to everything we wanted to do. SAFE neighborhood; we were perfectly comfortable leaving our children alone with our 17 year old in charge of our 5 and 7 year olds while hubby I enjoyed some night life. Wonderful accommodations, we hope to stay again on our future trips to New Orleans.-- Rachael, guest June 2013
This was a wonderful place to stay!! The cottage is really more like a house--it ended up being much bigger than I expected based upon the pictures. Everything was clean and modern. The kitchen had everything you might need. I thought the location was great because it is easy to get to places like the French Quarter but it is also far enough away that it is clean and safe. Marta was a great host--very easy to communicate with through phone and text. I highly recommend staying here! If I get to visit the spectacular city of New Orleans again, I will definitely try to stay here again!!--Kate, guest June 2013
We stayed in this lovely cottage and it was so beautiful, clean, safe, and host supplied everything we would need for our stay. The whole house is lovely and her out door patio was also so quaint and nice. The sleeping quarters were also so nice, overall everything about the home was very pleasent. The fact that she accepted pets was just great. She even left a water bowl ready for our pets when we arrived. It was a wonderful stay which made our time in New Orleans just perfect. Marta is a good and thoughtful host. Thank you so much for making our time in NOLA great.-- Raquel, guest June 2013
Our 3.5 day stay at The Creole Cottage was awesome! Upon arriving, we found a very clean home. Mrs. Badon was there when we arrived and we enjoyed being able to introduce ourselves and learn a little about her, her husband, & their cottage. Anje particularly enjoyed the beautiful flowers around the outside of the home! The home had everything needed for a day, a week, or longer stay! It is also in a convenient location to downtown, allowing you to escape the "hustle & bustle" when you want/need to. We will definitely look to stay at The Badon's property when we return to New Orleans. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your cottage! Les, Anje, & McKade, guest May 2013
