My favorite place

November 6, 2014

I have stayed here multiple times and have never been dissatisfied. The house is gorgeous, especially considering that it is a rental, and there is so much to do nearby. This house is walking distance from Nye beach at low tide (wallking on the beach) and is only 30 min from Lincoln city if I'm in the mood for shopping. The open floor plan is great especially since it makes it easier to look out the windows and watch the sunset or watch the rain pour down onto the beach. This house is decorated and furnished well. There are no complaints to be made.

Our stay at 709 NW High Street in Newport was exceptional. There were a few issues when we arrived but they were handled VERY quickly to our satisfaction. Everything in the Nye Beach area was just a block away as was the beach. Perfect location. Restaurants of many types of food were plenty. We were very satisfied with out choice and would recommend it to a small family.

great family beachside rental

August 4, 2013

This is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath beachfront home on Agate Beach in Newport OR. It was a perfect rental for our family of seven. The house has a washer and dryer as well as a fully set up kitchen. Another feature we enjoyed was a gas barbecue grill. These features saved us the money of eating out all the time or visiting a laundromat. The ocean views were amazing! The walk to the beach was too rigorous for our 82 year old Mom and the little stream before the beach which required wading or a log-walk-across was a bit disappointing for me (age 53 and not into log walking) . The home is in pretty good condition but for a broken feature in 1 bath and a wobbly gate which my husband actually tightened with screwdriver. The house rules of "no entry into private room which is always locked " were a mistake as the room door was open when we arrived we would never consider taking anything anyhow as the accomodations were well outfitted. I was grateful this house was available as it is hard to accomodate a group of seven.

We stayed in the Pico 302 condo. Although the view was fantastic...the accommodations were lacking. We have stayed at several places along the Oregon Coast, and this is our first time we all said we would not return to this property. The kitchen was so ill-equipped to cook in. The pots and pans were cheap aluminium teflon coating which was peeling severely! No strainer to drain pasta. Strong odor of mold and mildew. Thank Goodness we are not severe allergy sufferers, because this was bothersome enough. Never had to write a bad review before and disappointed to have to now.

Beautiful home

January 26, 2010

This home was beautiful! Well decorated, nice furnishings, and clean. It would be helpful to know that the upstairs rooms do not have full privacy. Upstairs is a loft(as noted), one bedroom opens into the other and there is not a sealed ceiling as there are large vaults. No noise privacy. As usual with vacation rentals, the pots are not good. Peeling teflon which is not healthy, but I have never rented a house where this was not the case. I assume because many renters do not take care of them properly. Other than the pots, kitchen was well equipped. Towels were nice and there was a large supply. Everything else was perfect. Lovely place, close to beach. Nice area. Great value. I would definitely go back!

Great View

November 30, 2009

The view was just as shown. It was beautiful. The house could have been cleaner but it was adequate. I worked really hard when we left to clean it for the next person. Thank you for opening your house to us, we had a great time.

Lovely Place

August 11, 2009

This townhouse location is beautiful. Beach access was a short walk down the road then you had miles of soft sandy beach. The house is beautiful and relaxing. You fill safe in the neighborhood. Both bathrooms were spacious and had a tub/shower combo. The upstairs jacuzzi tub was really nice. Not sure where the .5 bathroom from 2.5 was? The kitchen, dining and living room area is well designed, comfortable and nicely equipped. The upstairs is basically a lovely loft with 1 bedroom walled off but no ceiling thus no real privacy. The second bedroom is not private at all it is open to the entire house. The king bed was comfortable and I didn't mind the lack of bedroom privacy but the others did. Improvements would include providing scissors, hooks at the entry area for jackets, replace the crunchy plastic chair by the fire place and the noisy uncomfortable twin mattress on the trundle bed downstairs. I would highly recommend this place but be forewarned you will lack bedroom privacy.

Overall good weekend

March 2, 2009

A good time was had at this rental by our group and the house was quite nice. A couple things you should know though. As far as the house paper products go typically there is plenty of TP paper towels and usually bar soap and even sometimes shampoo in these rentals, very little here. Make sure you bring your own. The trundle bed in the downstairs bedroom is quite uncomfortable when pushed together to make a king as described. Also this house may be best suited for a family with kids as we were three couples and the privacy is weak at best. I would stay again but not with extra couples.
