For two weeks, we stayed two families in this very special place. I really didn't wanna leave this place. The place is so full of tranquility and beauty. I had the feeling of being in the midst of nature with birds, monkeys, lemon and papya trees in the garden and the absolutely breathtaking panoramic view of the forrest below and of Lake Nicaragua. Waking up to this paradise of nature every morning just made me feel so content and relaxed every day. One of my greatest - daily - memories form this place is stepping out on the balcony on the first floor (directly from bed), seeing the sun rise and having an absolutely magnificent panoramic view of the lake and the green forest below and in front of you. Then you feel very grateful: wow, yet another day in the midst of all this...! The house itself and the surrondings areas, which is not really a "garden" - it is too big to bee called a garden, is so spacious that 8 people easily can find plenty of spots and places to hang out, do their own things or do things together. The kids loved the pool and to read books in the hammocks. Another joy was to go sailing on the Lake Nicaragua which is just a few footsteps down the hill. From the lake as well as the house you see the great Mombacho volcano. It is really beautiful and relaxing to sail slowly between the many small islands.
A dirt road leads you to Granada in around 20 minutes, and it is a truely beautiful town in Spanish colonial style. But to be quite honest, we mostly went to Granada just for buying the essentials - and then returned to the hillside of Lomas del Encanto, the pool, the panoramic view, the tranquility, the nature. We just wanted to stay here as much as possible.
