Fantastic!

August 14, 2013

This house is by far one of the better beach rentals we've found on the Oregon coast. It has room for everyone, is bright and extremely well appointed and is located just a few steps from the beach. Be forewarned that Oceanside is a very small and secluded town The nearest conveniences like a grocery store and cell phone coverage are a ways away. But if you're looking for a relaxing getaway to spend quality time with the whole family you won't find a better house.

Family reunion

September 24, 2012

I appreciated the cleanliness and amount of kitchen cookware, etc. in the kitchen. Wonderfully spacious, and views. I liked the small living area upstairs. We would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable. The only draw back was that it took a long time to wash and dry all the bedding, towels, as it seemed like the dryer was slow.

Wonderful and Nice House

August 19, 2012

Our stay at Puffins Perch this summer was really enjoyable. The house is very close to the beach and it’s really easy to access there. The house is very clean and the layout is fairly nice and it’s really good for one big family or two families. It’s also close to the Pacific Oyster(seafood restaurant/seafood store) and Tillamook Cheese factory and you can get some fresh foods from them. While we were there, the weather was really nice and the temperature was very comfortable. The vacation home rentals was nice site to find the good vacation house. The house I found at first was not available, but they offered the Puffins Perch as alternate so as to meet our needs. As far as I know, other sites didn’t offer proper one ( they recommended inept one).

Puffins Perch Review in Oceanside, Oregon

June 3, 2012

The Puffins Perch property was nice and spacious for my family and the other family that rented the property with us. Comments: _There were patches of dead flies/bugs in some corners or areas of the house, plus dark pet hair on the rugs (that adhered to our children's blankets) _The dryer took 1.5 to 2 hours to dry a load of towels, should just call this out on the house detail sheet, so renters can plan accordingly _Property details should also call out that there are stairs to climb to get in the house _There was no foil or plastic wrap in the house, again just need to let renters know that what to expect or what to bring. _Parking space was not large enough to get our two cars in it, so we had to park on the street, again, not a huge deal, should just call that out. _Biggest complaint: No internet service. We would be willing to pay a daily fee to have access to internet service Overall, the house was nice, the views were great, the access to the beach was fantastic. The beds were fine, the amount of dishes and items in the kitchen was great, it was generally well stocked. The separation of living spaces was also nice, the kids could be in one room and the adults in the other and it wasn't too noisy or busy. The furniture layout was a little odd, but we made it work. At night there was a very large raccoon that would hang out on the deck. All in all though -- a great weekend and a very enjoyable stay. We would definitely rent this house again, if there was internet service provided or accessible in the house. Thank you!!

great stay

August 9, 2010

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Puffins Perch. After having read summaries from other folks who stayed there I felt somewhat prepared. But the cleanliness, layout of room space, no problems with appliances, comfortable furnishings, acces to the beach, atmosphere, etc. didn't leave much to be desired. We would definitely stay there again.

Oceanside is terrific

August 7, 2008

Our family, comprising 9 adults and 1 child, were very comfortable in this property. We stayed in Oceanside once before and enjoyed a better view higher up the hill but decided that instant access to the beach from this house made up for the blocked view. The area around Oceanside is wonderful with plenty of beach-combing, kite-flying, exploring, hiking, etc. Lots of opportunities for great food - fresh fruit and vegies at farmer's market in Tillamook, coffee and munchies at Brewin' in the Wine, Tillamook cheese and ice cream, and fish and crabs fresh out of the ocean. (Yes, the food part is important to this family.) The house was clean, well set-up and in good condition with only minor quirks. No cell reception and no wireless internet - we decided to consider that a plus as we were in retreat from routine.

Owner Supplied Testimonials
Guestbook

"We had the BEST time. All the 'extras' (pillow top beds, luxury sheets,
pillows, towels) made our stay extra special. Your house is so lovely
and comfortable. The kitchen is great, the view was amazing, and yes,
the weather was just perfect. We had 3 nights of perfect sunsets. "

"... great beds, decorating and well stocked kitchen.."

"Puffins Perch is fabulously designed and easily accommodated our creative
group. We were able to sing, write and paint simultaneously and in
separate spaces! The kitchen and living spaces are spacious and beautifully
set up. Thank you for doing such a great job!"

"...What a perfect 36 hours we spent at your lovely beach home. The weather was mild, about 56 the whole weekend, no rain, slightly cloudy, no wind. Even though it is pretty
big, the house felt cozy for just the two of us.."

"... beds were comfortable and perfect accommodations and kitchen for our crowd..."

"...Enjoyed our second stay as much as the first and still love everything about this house. Great kitchen to work in and well supplied.."
