Our upscale, 4-year old log cabin is located on beautiful Thompson Lake. Nestled in Otisfield Cove, the cabin offers a true respite from the hustle and bustle amidst the relaxing, quiet and serene nature. This two-story cabin features an open concept living/kitchen area, 2 bedrooms on the first floor (1 queen, 1 full) and an open loft (2 queen & 2 twin beds) allowing 10 to sleep comfortably with additional floor room in the loft. The home is furnished rustic log style. There is a covered porch to sit with open decking wrapping around to the front.

Our large lot gets lots of sun as well as many shady spots to nap in the hammock. 12-foot picnic table allows for large family gatherings. Large outdoor fireplace makes toasting marshmallows fun!

The cove is shallow but boats can come and go easily. Clean, sandy area up to the end of the docks allow you to enter the canoe and/or kayaks. Great swimming spot just at the end of our camp road (approx. 500ft) . You also get the added bonus of enjoying another one of Maine's Lakes - Pleasant Lake. Only 3.3 miles from our camp door, large beach area, swimming, picnic tables & free parking. Also makes a great place to bike to!

We have a spot to dock your boat. 2 Kayaks and a canoe are there for your use. Lots of outdoor furniture.

Large screen TV for rainy days or check out the new Oxford Casino - only 7 miles away. You could take a ride to Freeport - home to LL Bean or head to Portland and explore the old port!

Email or call anytime for more details or to view property prior to renting. I have more pictures I can send you too - site limits the number of pictures I can post.

Note: We will be putting this camp on the market in June 2015 - if perhaps purchasing is in the back of your mind.

Dream Vacation Home

July 6, 2015

We stayed in this beautiful home from June 20 -27 and it was a perfect week. Some rain, which is fine and allot of gorgeous days. The home was impeccable and came stocked with everything you would need for comfortable living. All we needed to bring was food and towels. The home also came with the a canoe and two kayaks which we used everyday. We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy weekend away!

February 16, 2015

We had a great stay at Brad and Sue's camp over Valentine's weekend! Calling it a camp is an injustice, this is a beautiful, cozy home! The vaulted ceiling, cracking woodstove, and view out of the 2 sliding doors all work together to make a memorable stay! Sue answered all questions quickly and professionally and Brad even came to play and drop off more firewood. We will definitely be back!

Owner's reply:

Thanks two or should I say four - :) are welcome back anytime...the place was left immaculate! Thanks for choosing us....
oh and I think she meant to say Brad went to "plow" ...not play - although I'm sure he'd rather have been playing on the ice for sure! LOL

Awesome Getaway

August 13, 2013

The cabin was beautiful! The lake is gorgeous - quiet and serene. We loved fishing off the dock and using the kayaks and canoe. The cabin is fully equipped. We did not lack for anything. It was clean, well organized and very comfortable.

Beautiful Cozy Cabin

July 23, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this cabin! The owners keep very good care of the property and everything was clean and comfortable. I've stayed at a lot of cabins and usually find that the beds are second hand, worn down and generally uncomfortable. That's not the case here and we had no trouble sleeping through the night. Nice TV, awesome firepit, canoes, kayaks, hammocks, multiple docks, good fishing ... what more could you ask for?

Beautiful Lake Vacation

July 17, 2013

Our family had a fabulous week on Thompson Lake. The home is comfortable and immaculate and you can not beat the location. Easy access to the lake, fishing off the docks, Kayak or canoeing, sun or shade, whatever you prefer. Out- door space for dining, fire pit, and even a mammock for naps. Close to the Casino and Movie theater for rainy days! Would definately recommend and return!

Perfect winter retreat

January 5, 2013

We stayed here for two nights with a few friends and it was the perfect spot to ring in the new year. Plenty of activities in the area or the perfect place to just relax with a book in front of the wood stove. The cabin is immaculate and has all the amenities of home and more. I would definitely rent this cabin again and recommend it to others, no matter what season!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can we swim right in front of camp?
A: No, it's really too shallow. We have cleaned a good size area that's nice and clean so you can get in the canoe and kayaks easily. Entrance for swimming is at the end of our dirt rd, not a beach but clean gradual entry. Plus you get to use Pleasant Lake Beach which is only 3 miles from camp, large swim area, picnic tables and parking. It's a perfect distance to take bikes!
Q: Can boats enter the cove?
A: Yes, the cove is too shallow to swim but is at least 6 ft with a soft bottom, so boats can come and go easily. There are no rocks in this cove.
Q: Can we bring our dog?
A: Pets are generally not allowed however we do realize they are part of the family so we are willing to work with you.
Q: Do the docks get sun all day?
A: Yes, we have 2 docks, one sits over the water and you will be able to sun bathe all day. The other sits against our property- this one stays shaded for most of the day until about 4 o'clock- then it's perfect up until sunset.
