moclips cottage review

December 5, 2014

We found the home titled the love shack very cozy, romantic and downright charming. The beach access was easy and the home itself was excelllent. The only issue we encountered was with the plumbing as it backed up the 2nd night we were there and remained only partially functional the rest of our stay, which was not a very pleasant experience...other than that I would rent the unit again...the small kitchen even accommodated a full thanksgiving meal and being a chef I was very impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was with equipment. I brought a lot of stuff to cook with, not knowing what to expect, but did not have to use much of it at all. Overall a very nice getaway.

Owner's reply:

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, although we are sorry about the plumbing issue. I wish you would have called; maintenance is always on call and would have had it cleared up in a jiffy!! We hope to see you again.

Peaceful beach get-away

The cabin was clean and comfortable with all of the kitchen items needed to cook at home. We enjoyed our stay and walking on the beach. I would go there again!

nice view but.......

October 24, 2013

we had a very nice stay but the the amount that was charged for Labor Day weekend you would think the property would be better kept. very overgrown and the deck was so bad that we had to sweep and clean it up so that we could use it, couldn't use the BBQ cause of stuff hanging off the inside of the BBQ. there was a hole under the carpet in front of the slider so you had to be careful not to trip going out or fall thru floor. it does have comfy beds and very well supplied in the kitchen, just disappointing that we were charged so much for what the property is

Winter Rust

March 5, 2013

When we first entered the unit we immediately noted the odor of cat urine. When my wife used the tub the water was rusty. Also truth in practice it would have been good to state the unit was a double wide. It was clean and well equiped otherwise.

Yeah, I assume it would have been great. Everything appeared to be nice from what I saw. The views looked like they would be stunning. The price seemed to be affordable for everything assuming we were to book. Awesome potential!

Owner's reply:

To those of you reading Ryans review...perhaps you are as perplexed as I was when reading it.

You see, Ryan never stayed with us, he never inquired. so we can only presume Ryan was bored and having a bit of fun on the internet.

Ryan was correct though. val mar has everything you could possibly need. The views are spectacular. The wood burning stove is cozy if you are visiting for winter storm watching, and the fire pit is wonderful in the evening. The deck is certain to become your favorite spot.

Two bedrooms with their own bath make this the perfect spot for 2 couples.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

Dear Pacific Beach and Beyond Vacation Rentals - I wanted to let you know what a fabulous time I had while staying at the ValMar house on the Quinault Indian Reservation. I came for a week in June (9th-16th) with my two children and could not have had a better time. The house is off the beaten bath with a beautiful view and the most comfy bed imaginable! Though the weather wasn't "perfect" during our stay I can honestly say that I didn't mind a bit. I sat out on the back patio wrapped in a blanket, reading a book and listening to music even on the one day it drizzled all day! The house is wonderful ~ both beds are super comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and my 13-year-old loved the large flat screen TV as he brought along his PS3 and played video games all week! I even found it restful having no cell phone reception! Other than a couple of short "day trips" to Ocean Shores to see a movie and Lake Quinault to take pictures, we rarely left the comfort of the beautiful surroundings and didn't feel like we were missing out on anything. I took a couple of great pictures that I will try to get off my phone to forward to you. We hope to be back next year!! A. Connor
