Thoroughly enjoyed the Hummingbird Ranch! Large, clean comfortable home . We traveled to many many destinations within a day's round trip. Welcomed home with timed lights. Garage for our motorcycle and plenty of parking for our trailer and truck.
Quiet and Lovely

Hummingbird Ranch is an extremely comfortable home located on several acres in a small residential neighborhood of like properties in the wide open Sulphur Springs Valley. Four of spent four very agreeable days and nights in the area. We found the bedrooms to be spacious with large closets and plenty of room for our clothes, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms well equipped with many good qualify towels. You'll want to bring your food and drink with you, because, with the exception of a small grocery and a restaurant open through lunch about ten minutes or so from the property, there are no other stores available nearby. We spent our days hiking in Chiricahua National Monument, about twenty-five minutes away, and we made a day trip to Bisbee, an interesting arts town about an hour away. There were many more activities we would have enjoyed had we been able to stay longer. The enormous skies and the cranes flying overhead were a real treat. Renee and Steve were extremely helpful and very easy to deal with. They provided clear instructions on using the property and the notebooks of material on Cochise County, Southern Arizona, and local destinations were well researched and voluminous. Hummingbird Ranch is an ideal place to get away from it all, with many activities and interesting destinations within an hour or so of this quiet and private location.

Definitely stay here! What a comfortable CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN house! We appreciated walking in and immediately feeling comfortable in our surroundings. The kitchen is very well stocked, right down to spices, condiments, cleaning supplies, etc. Easy to navigate! The house is comfortable and relaxing. Sit outside and enjoy the private star show. Walk around the property and identify all of the tracks left by wildlife. It happened to be cold during our stay, but we were toasty inside. Hummingbird Ranch's location was perfect for us visiting Chiricahua, Cochise Stronghold, Coronado Monument, San Pedro Riparian and doing the tourist thing in Tombstone and Bisbee. We were quite happy here. We also appreciated the very quick return of the security deposit. All communication with Renee and Steve was easy; we appreciated all of the videos and links regularly sent to us. We thank you for your hospitality and for providing a clean and secure vacation spot.

The house is nicely decorated and comfortable. It is quite close to Cochise Stronghold (great hiking) and also about 45 minutes from Chiracahua National Monument (fantastic hiking!). Great sunsets as well!
Thank you Richard, we loved having your family stay at Hummingbird Ranch! We were so happy that you and your daughter hiked our beautiful Cochise Stronghold & The Chiricahua National Monument. Steve and I often go to The Cochise Stronghold ourselves to see our beautiful Sulphur Springs Valley from above. See you soon for another Southwestern adventure!......

Comfortable home in a peaceful setting
February 10, 2014
Hummingbird Ranch was just what we were looking for - immaculate and relaxing both inside and out. Nicely decorated, well-appointed kitchen and baths, comfortable bed. Large windows bring the outside in and provide up close views of local wildlife including coyotes, lizards, local and migrating birds. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. Easy access to many wonders of Southeast Arizona. We hiked at Chiracahua National Monument, visited Kartchner Caverns, and observed 20,000 sandhill cranes at Whitewater Draw all within an hour radius. And, we enjoyed every minute hanging out at what felt just like home. Owners Renee and Steve were great to work with and willingly accommodated our change in plans when a snowstorm delayed our flight out by a day. This place is a gem. We hope to visit again.
Thank you very much Jane for your kind words! We were so happy to have you stay at Hummingbird Ranch Vacation House. We are so glad you had a wonderful time! Sorry for the snow delay! We hope you were able to see some of the Hummingbirds and our funny lizards.
Please come back soon, you are always welcome!

I've learned over the years when vacationing to seek a rental property and avoid resorts and hotels for the maximum return on a vacation. The Hummingbird Ranch is a rental property that will make you very happy with your choice. It's remote, oh yeah, but if solitude and quiet is what you desire this property won't dissapoint. The house is spacious, well appointed, and nothing was in need of repair. Even though peace is what we sought in this location, there's no denying the two flat screen TV's, and the Wi-Fi connection were well received. We put many miles on the truck exploring the areas near the Hummingbird Ranch and that was a great experience. We'd never been to southern Arizona and the beauty, sun!, and warmth!, was just what these moss ridden, wet, pale, and disgruntled NorthWesterners needed. Thanks to the owners, Steve and Renee, for the opportunity to rent their property. They were wonderful to work with in the rental process. Go Seahawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~~Quiet and Private~~
Two adult couples spent an enjoyable four days in this comfortable, well furnished home. The Sulphur Springs Valley is in a rural portion of southeast Arizona and we delighted in the views, the cranes flying overhead, and the relative remoteness of the property. The house is located on a large lot in a small residential neighborhood of similar places, with working ranches and farms making up the majority of the properties in the area. We hiked in Chiricahua National Monument, about a twenty-five minute drive from the home, and we made a day and evening trip to the artsy town of Bisbee, about an hour away. Had we been able to stay longer there would have been plenty of other things for us to do. Renee and Steve were very friendly and helpful in providing information about the home and the area, and we found the place to be meticulously clean and well prepared for our stay. The furniture, the linens, the beds, the kitchen and eating areas, the bathrooms, all were very comfortable, well stocked and well equipped. There were enormous notebooks of well researched material on the Sulphur Springs Valley and Southern Arizona in general, very helpful to renters, and all notes and cheerful instructions from the owners were clear and easy to understand. Know that you must come well supplied with food and drink-there's a small grocery and a restaurant open part of the day about ten minutes away, but you'll be best off bringing everything you think you'll need. Thank you, Renee and Steve, for providing us with a very happy stay.
The weather was beautiful and we had a very peaceful time at your ranch.
I hope you find all in perfect order. The wildlife was so special to observe and the sunrise/sunsets are exquisite.
I especially enjoyed meeting half of the Shawn and Shawn duo as well as the goats.
Their products are very nice and it would be great if you had some to share with guests and maybe their card or brochure. Such a treat to have them right down the road and the soaps etc. are lovely!
Enjoy your time at your home. Have you lived there long? How did you find it? Thank you again!
We so much enjoyed our stay at your home. The quiet, the peaceful setting, all the wildlife and the comfort of your home made our time perfect and productive. We were uncertain if we would be able to get into the Chiracahuas as some roads had been closed down at the end of September dues to heavy rains. We did go to Cochise Stronghold one day. The rain the previous day had caused water on the road in lower areas and we decided not to chance getting stuck, so we didn’t make it to the campground. We did walk a bit and it was beautiful.
Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your home.
My wife and I had the time of our lives at your Ranch in Southeastern Arizona. We took long relaxing walks every morning and listening to the many birds and seeing all of the wildlife in your valley, made us so happy. The views of the Cochise Stronghold & The Chiricahua National Monument were breath taking to behold!
Thank you and we are coming back in the summer.

Best Arizona Vacation Ever! Bird Watching at it's best!!!
Dear Steve, What a fantastic time we had at your Ranch. We so much enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets. So much to see and do....We enjoyed the quite time away from people and cars. The extra dark skies were a treat. I never realized just how many stars are over head. The Sandhill Cranes and Roadrunners were delightful. Can't wait to return for another great stay! Please thank your cleaning people for having the house spotless! We will be back! 10 Stars Rating.
