During bad weather like snows in the winter, you probably won't be able to reach other cabins if they're up in the mountains; however, this cabin is almost always accessible. You also don't have to worry about driving off the side of a mountain or meeting other cars on narrow/steep/winding mountain roads in the middle of the night or during blinding rainstorms.
During nice weather, you can walk to the end of the block & catch the trolley. The trolley will take you all over Pigeon Forge & into Gatlingburg. If you enjoy walking, the convention center or the Old Mill Restaurant are only about 1/2 mile away. After the walk, return to the cabin & relax in the hot tub outside or jetted whirlpool tub inside. In the winter, watch cable TV or movies (provided) and relax in front of the wood burning fireplace. The hot tub is off the master bedroom patio. It's outside, but private.
While in the cabin, you can also enjoy playing pool or air hockey. The cabin also has wireless high speed internet and cable TV in both bedrooms and in the living room.
There is no step to enter the cabin, but it has a sunken living room, so there is 1 step up to the main part of the cabin unless you enter through the patio door off the master bedroom. The living room is open to the dine-in kitchen area.
The main part of the cabin has the dine-in kitchen, both bedrooms, utility room, & bathroom which has a whirlpool tub & walk - in shower. There's also an additional vanity in the hall between the 2 bedrooms.
Upstairs, there's an air hockey game, pool table, & another bathroom with walk - in shower.
The parkway is within sight of the cabin & features some outstanding restaurants and a variety of great shows ranging from magic shows to hands on activities for the kids and of course country music. There's also a great wax museum and life sized reproduction of the Titantic with a museum inside.
Other entertainment includes zip-lines, hot air baloon rides, helicopter rides, horseback riding, and white water rafting. Lake Douglas is nearby for fishing and other water sports.
Gatlingburg is about 20-30 mintues away and offers snow skiing and other winter sports in the winter. It also has several Ripley attractions including Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum and a fantastic aquarium.
Of course, the major area attraction is the fantastic mountain views which are all around. The Smoky Mountain National Park is one of the few (maybe the only) national park that can not charge admission. It is located about 15-20 minutes from the cabin & offers numerous hiking trails and spectacular scenery.

Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
Staying on vacation with family

Excellent place to stay very cozy, clean, and mountainy. It was our first time renting a cabin and it was a excellent choice. The owner was very friendly and answered all of our questions and the cleaning crew was very friendly and helpful. It was very spacious and very clean. The only issue we had was very few channels on the tv that would be the only fault. The beds are very comfortable. It is very easy to find.

Great cozy cabin close to everything in pigeon forge. My Family of 6 stayed there with plenty of room. Kids didn't wanted to leave the cabin to go places but when we did we didn't have to drive far. Fun Time Trolley station was right down the road so we hopped on it to get to Gatlinburg. We will definitely come back to this one!
