Welcome to Casa Aggrawal, home to palm trees, beautiful sunsets and ocean breezes that compliment the view from our home for the past week and a half. Situated in one of the highest points of Costambar this home is truly a classy yet cosy place to stay... The first thing we noticed was the view from many windows that illuminated this beautiful bright home. As we made our way to the back of the home we were greeted by quiet and immaculately landscaped backyard which features a large pool and jacuzzi. We somewhat surprised the owners with our visit as we required to make a change in our plans and leave Santiago earlier than expected. Yash & Hemu we very accommodating even though they were not expecting us and helped us get settled in within a matter of hours. We are here checking out the country to see where we could live, how to make a living etc...and one thing I could say is that if I could build a home here it would be pretty close to the design, look and feel of Casa Aggrawal. It's the Dominican Republic - with the comforts and luxury of North America... What to expect: Clean New Tiled Floors. Clean New Appliances. Clean Washroom Beautifully Tiled. Ceiling Fans Adequate (Warm) Lighting Comfortable Funiture Spacious Bedroom with Mosquito Net. Screened Windows. Large Backyard with Pool, Jacuzzi and Table for Dining Ceiling Fans and Lights Outside under large Gazebo. Sunset over the mountains (view from backyard) Oceanview (front of home) 11+ Foot Ceilings

My husband, son, and I decided on a short break during spring vacation and we contacted Yash and Hemu who were extremely helpful in helping us arrange our trip. Although we arrived in the very early morning they greeted us cheerfully and ensured that we were ok. The next morning we awoke to a beautiful private pool and well kept grounds right outside our bedroom door. The fridge was stocked with necessities and we had a nice breakfast in a tropical garden. We then proceeded to the beach which is walking distance. Our hosts were also very knowledgeable about the area and made restaurant suggestions that were affordable and very good. We had a relaxing stay and hope to stay with them again.

A very comfortable and spacious appartement with a swimming pool and a terras. The place is very well maintained and clean. Inside the house you'll find a large sleeping room, bathroom, living room and kitchen. The kindness of owners of the place - who are ready to help you at anytime - makes the stay even more comfartable. Overall, this was the fourth time i've been in the DR (Costambar) and this place was by far the most comfortable.
The house is beautifull and very well maintainend. There's a nice swimming pool with terrace witch is perfect for a family. Inside you have a spacious sleeping room, living room, bathroom and living room. The kindness of the owners - who stays next to you - makes the stay even more pleasant. It was my fourth stay at DR (Costambar) and i can say that this was by far the most comfortable place. I would recommend to everybody who's looking for a nice, quiet and comfortable stay at the DR.

My wife and I are involved in providing safe drinking water to the people of the Dominican Republic and we just spent a month is the DR and rented Yash and Hemu's apartment in Costambar. The apartment was great and the private garden and pool area was awesome. Privacy is very important to us and you can walk out the door of the apartment directly into the private garden and pool area!! We did not rent a car while we were in the DR. The apartment is located a short distance to a taxi stand and it was very easy to get around the area without a car using a taxi and other public transportation. A grocery store and several restaurants are within easy walking distance to the apartment. Yash and Hemu are great hosts and is was great to get to know them!!

I am not a person of many words, so I'd just say we felt embraced like family. Hemu and Yash are wonderful people and helped us with everything: grocery, currency exchange, tennis reservation, taxi, any information we needed. We lived in separated part of their house, so any time I wanted to ask something I would go outside and call them through a window. :))) The house is beautiful outside and inside and located on the hill, so there is always a wonderful breeze and nice ocean view on one side and a mountain view on the other. There is a great pool in the backyard with a table where you can enjoy your meal. Every day starts with a quiet sound of water dripping in the pool from a small waterfall, it sounds amazing. We had a plenty of closet space and towels. Kitchen is equipt with everything we needed. I cooked dinner every day and we had lunch in the restaurant or took a pizza to the beach. Costambar is a small community, so there is a short walk to the grocery store, where though you wouldn't find a big variety, but everything essential. We got groceries once in Puerto Plata on our way from the airport and then just went to a local store for some things a few times. The beach is 10 minutes walk, where you can rent deck chairs for 100 RD$ per day per one. There are locals selling homemade sweets (sugar&milk&nuts sort of pancakes) and fruits. There are bars and a couple of restaurant right on the beach and some others close by. The beach is protected by a coral reef so there is no big waves, don't forget to pack your googles to see some fish near the reef. Local people are friendly. If you go to the left of the beach all the way to a coral reef you can climb there and get to the high cliff with a nice view. There are also horses and cows pasture there and there is a mountain view in the background. If you are a photography enthusiasts like myself it's also a nice spot to take sunset pictures. I would recommend to go to 27 waterfalls. There are no lockers there! So you have to leave your belongings like dry clothing, wallets in the taxi! The tickets are cheap, please, tip the guide! Did I say I was not a person of many words in the beginning? I got carried away apparently! We loved our vacation here. We didn't want a crowded place or all inclusive hotel with some people going crazy, and we found it here, in Costambar at Yash and Hemu's.
