Not worth the hassle!
January 4, 2010
We stayed in this home for Thanksgiving 2009. The home was nice. We did not get our deposit back based on bogus issues such as: pets were allowed & then were not after we signed up so we forfited out deposit of $500.00. We were accused of taking towels - and the towels were not worth taking in fact we took our own. We were accused of ruining the outdoor tables when we used them only for our coffee cups. We were accused of cooking on the tables when we did not. All of this was done in order to keep our deposit. I don't mind giving them an extra $500 - they seem to need it and will probably get more from other renters.
When renters come into an agreement on a vacation home, they should be honest about what they are doing. First, tell the truth about how many will be staying, if animals will be present and if they are bringing in other items to cook on. All of these homes are someone else's home too.
