San Clemente is a beautiful beach town on the southern most tip of Orange County. Downtown Ave Del Mar boasts fabulous antique shops, clothing boutiques, surf/swimwear shops, art galleries (all without attitude) and restaurants to suit any taste. Down by the pier is Fisherman's Restaurant and Bar where you can dine with the surf crashing below you. The beaches are beautiful with plenty of sand and surf to laze away the days.
San Clemente was the vision of Ole Hansen, who founded the town in 1925. He created his version of a coastline paradise along this stretch of hills that slope gently down to the sea. When you survey the town from the freeway, you'll see residences ringing the hillsides above the town's center, and palm trees polka-dotted among Spanish tile roofs.
On your way north out of town note the quaint architecture of the Ole Hansen Beach Club located one half block west of El Camino Real on Avenida Pico. This bathing club dates from the early part of this century, when it was used for the US Olympic swimming trails for the 1932 Olympics held in Los Angeles. The Swimming pool is still in use, and the clubs seaside vista makes it a popular spot for weddings and receptions.

We really had a great time at your beautiful beach house, and we really appreciate your hospitality. The amenities were plush and comfortable, and we felt like we were staying in a luxury home. I love how the spacious your home is, even with my extended family there with us. We loved being so close to such a great beach and pier. The kids had so much to do. They used the Boogie boards, sand toys, games, and loved the big screen TVs & Nintendo. The playground at the park down the street came in handy, too. My favorite was the short walk to the pier where we could enjoy mud pie. We are planning to come back in the next year or two. Thanks again for everything!
Dear Mr. Dirkse,
We would like to thank you again for the wonderful time we spent at your beach home. This is the third time we have stayed there, and each time was very enjoyable. The closeness to the beach, pier, restaurants and beach hiking trails make it very convenient. The house itself is very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We really liked walking to the Chinese and other restaurants, and the whole family enjoyed checking out the unique shops on Del Mar Street. During past visits, we went to Los Angeles and San Diego to sight see, because they are only about an hour north or south. This time, however, we chose to spend our time relaxing in beautiful San Clemente.
Looking forward to visiting again.

We wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic stay at your condo. It was very comfortable , stylish, and made for a wonderful week for our family. The furnishings were all very comfortable and practical, and the cleanliness when we arrived was outstanding. The only suggestions we have would be to put a hose outside the condo (rinsing off sand). Please feel free to use us as reference---and although it is much too soon for us to plan , we are "dreaming " of another week in beautiful San Clemente, one of these years!
Take care, and thank you,
Sheila and Brian
