BABYSITTING, my Daughter can babysit any night, (Advance notice required).

If you are here on business, there is an Express bus to downtown right outside my front door. If you are visiting as a tourist and wish to experience the real San Francisco, then my apartment is the logical place, do not get ripped off in the high priced tourist restaurants, eat where the locals eat, there are many Ethnic restaurants within a few blocks, have a beer at some of the best neighborhood bars in the city. If you really want to be a tourist, take a walk to the Cliff House for dinner.

I own the building, it has 2 apartments and a retail store, the other apartment is occupied by a retired school teacher, Vladimir and his wife, they both take care of my apartment for me, so just knock on their door if you should need anything during your stay.

The neighborhood: Richmond/SeaCliff
The Richmond/Seacliff neighborhood has world-class recreation, You are within walking distance of 3 fantastic beaches, Ocean beach, China beach or Baker beach.

Golden Gate Park is only 5 blocks from the apartment. You also have a municipal golf course, Lincoln Park Golf , it is a short 6 blocks from the apartment.
The Richmond retains a neighborhood feel along its main shopping streets.
You can find Mexican, Russian, French and Italian restaurants with ease, not to mention a plethora of establishments serving food from every corner of Asia. 'Like the Outer Richmond itself, Geary calms down considerably after 25th Avenue as it meanders off into the fog and ultimately ends at the Pacific Ocean.'

Sea Cliff is dominated by Spanish architecture homes perched on the cliffs east of Golden Gate Bridge. Certainly one of the most desirable and picturesque residential areas in the U.S. Success exudes itself from any of houses, stars and theatrical types such as Robin Williams, Sharon Stone, and Carol Hayes of Hayes Productions all have homes here. The Presidio Trust sits to its east with remains of the Land's End Park and the famous Sutro Baths of 1896 to the west. The California Palace of the Legion of Honor museum built in 1924 ( inspired by the Palais de la Legion in Paris), home of Rodin's 'The Thinker', and the public golf course of Lincoln Park all share the Sea Cliff address!'

Lincoln Park: Most people know Lincoln Park for two things: The Palace of the Legion of Honor and the golf course. Fewer know about the park's easy access to Land's End and a portion of the Coastal Trail that runs about six miles along the bluff above the sea, from Baker Beach to Ocean Beach. Walkers along this path will be treated with incredible views.

Golden Gate Park:
The California Academy of Sciences Its fantastic, you have to go.
You simply must rent a boat in Stow Lake or explore the park by bike. Stow Lake Bike & Boat Rentals, 50 Stow Lake Dr.
M.H. de Young Museum.

You have all this right outside your front door and are only 15 minutes to downtown Union Square.

Muni Bus system:
If you intend to ride the cable cars, then it is cheaper to buy a bus pass, the fare on the 38 bus downtown is $2.00 and the cable cars are $6 so its better value to get a bus pass. The passes are for consecutive days.

Passports may be purchased at the Airport, SFO Information Booth (Baggage Claim area)

For more information on Muni Passports, see Muni's site
1-day Passport $14
3-day Passport $22
7-day Passport $28

The cheapest way to get to the apartment from SFO is a door to door Super Shuttle, it costs $18 per person one way, if there are 3 or more people then a Taxi is cheaper, about $45. You do not really need a rental car, except if you wish to see the Wine Country, I would suggest that you rent a car the last 2 days of your vacation, there is a Hertz location a few blocks away, pick the car up at the local Hertz and drop it back to the Airport, that way you save on a shuttle to the airport.

ZIPCARS: you can rent Zip cars by the hour or by the day,
There is a ZIPCAR location one block from the apt,
Please go to ZIPCAR site for more information.

PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR AVAILABLE DATES, I ANSWER ALL EMAILS THE SAME DAY.

***EXTRA, EXTRA, I now have a second location, A one bedroom apartment in Twin Peaks, with parking and laundry, sleeps up to 5.

The flat is very comfortable with all the amenities. Plenty of local restaurants with a variety of good food are available. The 38L bus running past the front of the property makes the 30 min journey into town easy. Short walk to China Beach. Loved it.

Loved the Apartment

May 25, 2008

Yes, the flat was fantastic. I had to be in San Francisco for work for a week in February. I usually just stay in a hotel, but this apartment caught my eye on the internet. I have had several business trips to SF and have always stayed in downtown hotels, This was the first time I actually got to see the real San Francisco. The home office with printer/Fax & copier are a great feature, it saved me a few trips to Kinkos. The bed was very comfortable and the full kitchen was equipped with everything. The #38 express bus had me downtown in about 15 minutes, and its stops right outside the front door. The choice of restaurants within a few blocks of the apartment was amazing. The apartment was so good, that I am going to book another week in the fall, and bring my wife and son.

What a Great Find

January 20, 2008

What a great find! We had never stayed in a vacation apartment before, but after reading all the great comments on Paul’s website, we decided to give it a try. The apartment totally exceeded our expectations. It is very handsomely furnished and decorated and had everything anyone could possibly need. Vladimir was very friendly and offered some great advice on places to visit. The location is excellent, as some other people said, it can get a bit noisy at night, but hey you’re in a vibrant city and in the middle of it all. Having said that, it really only was a bit noisy on Saturday night when Trader Sam’s closed and its patrons were looking for Taxis. It was great to be able to walk to fantastic restaurants all with in a few blocks. Paul’s list of restaurants had some excellent recommendations. We really liked Chapeau. Loved the Irish bread in the Irish bakery down the street. We would highly recommend the apartment and have sent the link to all our friends.

Highly recommend

September 14, 2006

This was our first time to book accommodation over the internet. Before we had children my wife and I were avid travelers. Now that the kids are a little bit older, we decided to visit interesting cities like San Francisco. After seeing the cost of 2 hotel rooms, we looked at alternative accommodations, This Apartment sounded ideal, we would have our own bedroom and the kids could sleep on the sofa bed, plus we could save more money by cooking breakfast and lunch in the apartment. The apartment has everything anybody could wish for a short stay. We found the neighborhood very safe, very centrally located and we were easily able to visit all the sights of San Francisco. Vladimir and his wife could do enough for us; they even offered to baby-sit our kids while we went out to dinner. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment. Jay Lyons Leeds, UK

Fabulous

September 14, 2006

Paul's place is great! The furnishings are comfortable -- the bed, the linens, the furniture. The location is also perfect! We've both been to San Francisco before but never got beyond the touristy areas. Staying here for a few days really gave us a flavour of what it's like to be in a wonderful, safe San Francisco neighbourhood. Lots of things to do and plenty of fabulous restaurants. We were very happy with the accommodation and would not hesitate to come back or recommend to all our friends. Helen Mooney, Canada

Wonderful city-living experience

September 14, 2006

We had a great four-day stay at Paul's San Francisco home. The apartment was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The convenience of the Cala Foods grocery store across the street was also much appreciated. As other guests have commented, the apartment worked well for two adults and our two children who were able share the futon in the living room (both are now asking why they do not have 400 thread count sheets at home). Parking, always a concern in the City, was not too difficult; I was always able to find a space within about two blocks in less than 10 minutes. Overall we had a wonderful city-living experience while exploring the fantastic sights in my old hometown. Patrick McCann, Norman, OK

EXCELLENT

September 14, 2006

This was the first time that we had booked through the internet and/or stayed in accommodations other than a standard hotel/motel room and I am delighted to say it was an EXCELLENT choice. My husband and I and two teenagers had the privelege to stay in Paul's apt during July, 2006 and the accommodations were excellent. The apartment was clean and is a wonderful respite after spending a day sightseeing. Vladimar was so charming and graciously had some ideas of places he thought we would not want to miss....We had lived in SF 15 years ago and the places he mentioned were the very ones we wanted to make sure our daughter saw....so listen to his advice if he offers! Other than that, Vladimar was unobtrusive, but nearby if you needed anything. I agree on leaving food. We also left some food in the fridge and hope someone wasn't afraid to utilize it. Thanks Paul (and Vladimar) and if we are back in SF someday....or vacinity of any of Paul's other apts, we will be checking on staying at his property! Exceeded our expectations

September 14, 2006

Paul - we are very happy to have found your apartment on the internet. The neighbourhood was great - 10 minutes' walk to Golden Gate Park, 5 minutes drive to the cliffs/sutro baths. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations - newly-refinished, nicely put together, comfortable and large. Lots of great dining within a 10 minute walk of the apartment, and only 1/2 hour from downtown by bus. We will seek you out again on future trips. Thanks also to Vladimir who waited up late for us on our delayed arrival. Cheers, Grace and Jon Jon and Grace MacCall, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

All was well. We greatly enjoyed your cute apartment and would recommend it to anyone. Our boys loved TV's and Play Station
We had no trouble with parking and loved the convenience of De Lano's, the coffee place across the street, and the awesome Dim Sum at Lucky Sun. Even though there is a big line outside the wait is only 15 minutes. Also, loved the convenience of being close to the GGB, since we had to go to Marin 3 times during our stay.
Thank you,
Michele and Scott

We had a great time at the apartment! We spent a week there with our 4 year old and 1 year old and had ample space. Great restaurants nearby and conveniently located to the Park and the Presidio. We had a car with us, and always found parking within 2-3 blocks. Would definitely recommend it to friends.

Although our stay in Paul's apartment was brief, only 3 days, we found it to be very comfortable and convenient to public transport. San Francisco is fabulous and we would certainly stay for longer next time.
Thanks again Paul and we will pass on your details to our friends.

San Francisco is a wonderful place to visit and Paul's place is the perfect venue to do it from. The apartment has all the ammenities, the information packet provides direction and guidance to everything one could need, and the neighborhood low key and friendly. It was the perfect place to end our 10 day trip traveling about northern california. Thanks Paul!

-Susan Merritt, Rockaway, NJ

We had a great stay in San Francisco at Paul's apartment. The apartment was very well equipped and very comfortable, a real home away from home. Our 4 year old son loved all the kid's DVDs. We had great meals at the local restaurants (the guide was spot on and very useful) and we enjoyed being close to Golden Gate Park. Would love to come back again sometime!

-F Lyng, Dublin, IRELAND

We had a fantastic time in the apartment - it was a real home away from home. Midway during our stay we had 2 nights in a hotel out of town and it made us realise how kucky we were to be staing in the apartment. We had a fantastic time and when we return to San Francisco - we shall be planning our visit around the availability of the apartment!

-Linda Ashton, Bristol UK

It was a great experience to stay in Paul's appartment
- it is close to everything - the bus stop, the beaches,
the Golden Gates bridge and park. The kitchen was
well equipped, which saved us a bunch of money on
eating out. You really get to experience San Francisco
like a local. I would definitely stay at Paul's appartment
again.

-Nadia, Raleigh, NC

After 6 months on the road it was wonderful to find ourselves in such a lovely appartment. We had a fantastic stay in San Fran, in fact we came back after a month and spent a further few days there. The appartment was fab, providing us with all we could possble want by way of facilities (and very stylishly too) and the location was great. Thank you Paul - we hope to come back some time.

-Sally, Jonathan and Maddie, London, UK

This is a great place for both adults and children. Paul has outfitted the apartment with most entertainment diversions and culinary equipment. The apartment is adequately furnished and the location is perfect for access to the SF downtown, the ocean, local shopping and eateries and Golden Gate Park. I rec'd it fully, you will not be sorry.
While we had some confusion over the initial reservation, Paul exceeded all expectations in straightening it out and we look forward to returning soon.

-Mark Furnari, Burlington, Vermont

We come to SF two times a year, this was the first time we did not stay in a hotel. Paul's Apartment has everything you need to provide the comfort of a home along with the freedom of a vacation. The location was convenient allowing you to experience SF like a local.

-Jesa & Tim Goodrich, Kailua, Hi

We had a great time in Paul's apartment; it is very well equipped, great location, Ideal for our family, 2 adults and 2 children.
Paul's list of restaurants was very helpful and also the Bus passes saved us a lot of money. We did not rent a car, rode the buses everywhere, got to see San Francisco from a local's perspective.
I would totally recommend the apartment.

-Jan Bakker, Amsterdam, Holland

Good location, lovely apartment well equipped with everything you need. Make sure you take a walk north to Baker beach its about 15 minutes but the best views of the GG bridge youll get.

-brian, surrey england

I will never stay in a hotel again.
Myself, my wife and our 2 year old son stayed for 6 nights in the apartment in Jan 2007,
My wife was attending a convention in the Moscone centre; she was able to take the express bus from right out side the front door of the apartment to downtown.
While she was at her convention, I was having a great time with my son, we walked to the beach, spent many hours in golden gate park, rented a row boat at the lake, went to the De Young, watched the Buffalos and also went on the carousal.

The apartment is very comfortable; it had a pack n play crib for my son, lots of DVD's,
Full kitchen and a cozy fireplace.
Paul's information brochure was very useful; he recommended some great restaurants,
Parking was very hard to find the first few days, but got easier as I got to know the neighborhood. I would not recommend having a rental car, its more hassle than its worth.
The neighborhood was great; we got to experience the real San Francisco.

-Roger Pendle, London, UK

My Family and I had a fantastic time in your apartment.
It was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids, having a full kitchen and dining room was great with small kids.
Vladimir and his wife baby-sat for us on 2 nights, at home we are used to paying $15 an hour so at $10 an hour its great value.
The bed was so comfortable that I wrote down the name and brand of the mattress and intend to buy the same one for my home.
I agree with Paul about leaving unused food behind, I hope the next guests had kids,
Cause we left lots of kids foods.
There was no Play Station; my kids had brought PS2 games thinking that every home had a PS2. But they survived the week without it.

The only thing that was a tiny bit annoying was people leaving Trader Sam's at 2am on the Sat night, they made a lot of noise, it only woke me up, not the kids or my husband.
But that goes with the neighborhood, if you want to be in the middle of everything.
Parking was hard the first days, but got easier as we got to know the area.
And YES, we did get caught with a parking ticket on a street cleaning day.

We love any type of Asian food, to save money we did take away from the many Asian restaurants, The Chinese across the street is really great, (I can't remember the name of it)
Also the Yet Wai on Clement at 23rd is fabulous.

Over all, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the apartment.
