Best Vacation Ever!!!
October 23, 2012
This was the best vacation I've ever had! My BFF and I stayed at Casa Buena Vista for 14 glorious days. From our very first inquiry during our planning, for two full weeks and until we sadly drove off the morning of our departure, Wolfgang and his wonderful staff Eldon and Mirta, took care of us with such warmth and kindness. Our 2 bedroom 2 bath was perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked and we used the grill frequently. We got a great tour of San Pedro the day we arrived. Being that we are both a little older we rented a golf cart and are happy that we did. Our daily trips to town to pick up fresh fruit and veggies from the Fabulous Maria, stops at the butcher shop for fresh sausage and the bakery for yummy peanut butter cookies were so much fun. We did a lot of our own cooking and grilling but also enjoyed several spots for eating out. Wolfgang will not disappoint with his recommendations! Our favorite, for a quick easy take out after a long day of snorkeling was Robin's for the best Jerk Chicken either of us have ever had. Suya Tours was fantastic! Also, if Mary is available for a message out on the porch over looking the water BOOK HER!! Without a doubt, in my opinion, the best amenity at Casa Buena Vista is Cookie, he will melt your heart from the moment you lay eyes on him. Cookie The Wonder Dog made our whole experience feel so much like a home in paradise. The people of San Pedro were warm and friendly making us feel very welcome. As we drove away from Case Buena Vista feeling heavy hearted there was a beautiful rainbow over the lagoon. My friend and I looked at each other through teary eyes and knew the beautiful rainbow was an affirmation that we would be back. We highly recommend this great property and it's hosts for your vacation to San Pedro.

A great vacation
August 12, 2012
We first stayed in a 1 bedroom hotel room in the center of San Pedro for 5 nights and then decided to try staying south of town for another 5 nights. I really enjoyed Villa Casa Buena Vista (south of town). The rooms were nice and we felt very comfortable. The kitchen really came in handy to cook breakfast, as food in San Pedro is not exactly cheap. On average we paid about $15 USD per person per lunch, and a bit more for dinner (at restaurants in town). My only complaint with the hotel is that there are not air conditioners in the living rooms. They are only in the bedrooms. Besides that, the fact that the hotel has boats and kayaks to rent, a decent pool and jacuzzi, an on-site bar/restaurant in my opinion makes up for anything lacking.

Our stay at Casa Buena Vista was exceptional from the moment we arrived. Orlando picked us up at the airport and gave us alot of good information on the island and people and took us to the grocery to get a few things. When we arrived at the villa, Wolfgang, Eldon and Cookie greeted us. Wolfgang had the rented golf cart delivered to our door. He then took us for a tour of town to show us several very good places to make purchases: groceries, fresh squeezed juices, fresh fish, restaurants and shopping. He even recommended Fish Johnson to come out and cook us dinner of lobster tails, grouper, potatoes and red beans and rice. Delicious! And he even washed the dishes. We took Wolfgang's advice and did the Suya tour for snorkeling. Absolutely amazing. Swimming and kayaking were wonderful there. Eldon made sure we didn't want for anything, and Cookie was there to "protect" us everyday. It was a very safe and comfortable place for 4 women to vacation alone. Security/patrol was always walking thru and we couldn't have felt safer. If you are looking for room service and a butler, stay at a resort. If you are looking for one of a kind, exceptional hospitality and relaxation with wonderful accomodations and hosts, Casa Buena Vista is the place! 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

House of beautiful view!

My family and I stayed vacationed here in April and had a fabulous time. Wolfgang, Cookie, Effie, Eldon, and Marita were all wonderful gracious hosts. The accomidations were exactly as described and the views even more spectacular in person. The villa comes highly recommended and would stay here again. Clean, comfortable, and convenient.

We arrived late at the villa but Eldon was still there and Wolfgang greeted us as soon as we exited the van. We thought it was beautiful at night but when you got up in the morning it was even more beautiful. We went into town with Wolfgang in the morning where he showed us the in and outs of the town, which was most helpful once you got out on your own and started travelling about. The house is great everything in the reviews is exactly as stated. Eldon was great with knowledge of the island and Mirtha is the most wonderful person you could ever meet. Wolfgang is one of the best hosts you could have along with our great friend Cookie and Effie. I strongly recommend this place to anyone that wants to stay on Ambergries Caye. We miss the island and our new friends we met Wolfgang, Eldon, Mirtha and the Cookie dog. Hopefully one day we will be back!! Garry & Tish

My wife and I stayed here in May of 2010. Wolfgang was an absolutely wonderful host. He answered all of our questions prior to our arrival and gave us a great tour when we got there. His restaurant recommendations were spot on. The place was very peaceful and quiet. Every morning I put on my snorkel gear, walked out the back door onto the private beach and spent an hour or so snorkeling. Suya Tours provided some fantastic snorkel tours. Wolfgang will recommend, and now so do I, the Suya Tour beach BBQ. I cannot wait to go back, hopefully next year. And when I do, this is where I will stay!!

A wonderful place to stay in Belize
October 31, 2010
Well… I just returned from a week in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize and stayed at Villa Casa Buena Vista about 2 .5 miles south of San Pedro. The villa, owned by Mr. Wolfgang Wind was everything it advertises to be and so much more. The villa is beautiful, very nicely furnished and has all the amenities one would want or need. Upon arrival, the villa was clean, and ready for us. The next morning, our host Wolfgang took us into to town to show us around and gave all kinds of great information on what the best local restaurants, markets and places to go (and avoid…) were. We even got to the local fish market early enough to get some fresh caught lobster tails and snapper to take back to the villa for dinner on the BBQ grill that night. The villa has everything, excellent wi-fi, 100+ channel satellite TV, full kitchen, and very nicely decorated. Eldon, the caretaker and Merta the maid took care of all of our needs and Wolfgang is a very gracious and wonderful host. The beach was excellent, and the shallow areas in front are great for swimming and snorkeling. Eldon even cracked open a fresh coconut from the beach for us to drink the coconut water from. There is a dive shop / tour operator only two properties down called “Suya Tours” that was excellent. Great service and we used them for four dives, a snorkel trip and a trip to the Mayan ruins at Lamanai. Their service was excellent. There is a couple of great places to eat and a local store (small, but has the es

Stayed at Bueno Casa villa for a week and wish it was longer. beautiful villa & location. Relaxing , yet fun. The owner and a groundskeeper are on site and very helpful as it was our first visit to the island. Would definately stay there again. We enjoyed being away from town yet close enough when we wanted to be. Weather was perfect.

Casa Buena Vista Review 2010
April 15, 2010
Belize Ambergris Caye and Casa Buena Vista was perfect for us. 4 of us traveled from the USA. We found that the Buena Vista villa including it's owner Wolfgand & his staff to be perfect for us. They all were very helpful if needed but not in your way. The villa is on the beach with a wonderful covered porch that has great views with shallow water & snorkeling from your back yard. Upon arrival Wolgang took us to rent a golf cart and to tour the town showing us various places to shop & eat. Wolfgang has a lot of knowledge to share. We found the villa to be well equiped, I can not think of anything we needed. The villa location is great about 2 miles from town a good walk but our golf cart was used and enjoyed a lot. With the golf cart we could explore the island. At night we would take our cart and go into town and hang with locals & expacts and always felt acepted and safe. Easter is the busiest time or yr. I did not find it crowded at all. This was our first time renting a villa we normally do all inclusive vacations. We found that Belize, Abergris Caye and Casa Buena Vista to be the perfect safe place. Do the the location of the villa and the island's wounderful people, language & monies this is the place to rent a villa. I am not sure how it would be in another country. I am a little afraid of driving in other countries. Also the language, monies & safty concerns me in other countries. We felt safe at all times. We hope to go back soon.

Four of us went to this villa for Easter. We had a wonderful time. The villa is beautiful, comfortable, clean and is fully equiped. Wolfgang was very helpful to show us around our first day. He helped us to rent a cart and showed us some of his favorite places to shop. We brought our own snorkel equipment and snorkeled right out back. It was just as good as a snorkeling trip we took. We fished and caught snapper that we grilled for our lunch. This villa is situated perfectly. It's quiet but not far from town. There was a constant ocean breeze that made sleepeing comfortable. I would vacation again here for sure.

This is a terrific place with everything you need for a relaxing break in a gorgeous location. Wolfgang, the owner, and his handyman Nelson are completely helpful without ever being intrusive. Suya Tours, right next door, can meet any need you have for water-based activities or inland tours. Imagine the best-run place you could stay while still getting away from it all, and this is it.

We stayed here for 10 days and enjoyed every minute of it. The owner Wolfgsng is a wealth of information and very accomadating, the grounds and casita are very clean, we had everything we needed and then some. the beach is clean and the dock is wonderful. there is security that makes the rounds on a regular basis, although, it is a very safe area. We are very glad we went this this way instead of staying in the middle of town in a hotel or resort. We thouroughly enjoyed our days here. We will go again someday soon.
2nd trip to Ambergris Caye-Best Ever
February 4, 2009
We selected this site because we like to be on our own to sight-see, fish, shop, cook, etc. We get tired of eating in restaurants, especially when fresh fruit, vegatables and seafood are so readily available. If you're looking for someplace to lay around and watch the kids splash about in a pool while someone brings you fancy drinks,or a party-spot to enjoy the island nightlife, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for peace & quiet and are willing to venture out a bit for groceries, etc., you'll likely be very pleased.Bike rental is suggested. The owner and Grounds Mgr./Asst. live on site and are most accomadating. Grounds Mgr. Nelson is a very polite young man who knows the island well and can refer you to the best local "real food" He was happy to cut fresh coconuts for my wife regularily(grown on the property). There is even a small banana tree growing by the back patio door. A small, home-made charcoal grill is available and works great. No complaints - Just Go!!
The Casita Buena Vista certainly met all of our expectations and more. Pictures do not do justice to the wonderful beachfront location and the perfect ocean breeze that accompanies it. The location is near enough to San Pedro to be able to take advantage of restaurants, shopping and recreation, but far enough to partake only in R&R if that is your desire. Wolfgang is a wonderful host providing every possible assistance, if needed. I would rate this an A+ and recommend it to anyone interested in a non-resort experience.
