This is the way to live the Montecito lifestyle!
The first impression of this large 5000 s.f. mid century home designed by renown architect Richard Dodd, is it's openness, large ceilings, and the amazing panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Channel islands, the Clark Bird Refuge and famous Huguette Clark Estate, the SB Zoo, downtown Santa Barbara, and its harbor too, all while retaining total privacy.
In 2009 this home was completely remodeled and upgraded with the finest amenities and furnishings making it ideal for that modern but casual indoor/outdoor California lifestyle.
This home features a large pool, decks and grounds with beautiful mountain and ocean views, 3 Large bedrooms all with king size beds and massive ocean views, 4 Fireplaces, 3.5 baths which are finished with mahogany cabinets, marble & mosaic stone. With a seperate home office.
All bedrooms & almost every room in the home have amazing views of the Montecito Country Club, the Pacific Ocean, Channel Islands, Santa Barbara and it's coastline all the way to Ventura.
The master suite includes a private living area/den with a wet bar, fireplace and flat screen TV, and a private patio, wonderful for getting away from it all, but also a great place for small children to sleep close to Mom & Dad.
State of the art entertainment systems are though out the home and Pool area.
The lower level includes a seperate living area/den with fireplace, sofa bed, flat screen TV, sound system, full bath with jacuzzi tub and a large view bedroom with flat screen TV. All on the pool level making ideal for a kids hang out.
The gourmet kitchen hosts sleek stainless steel appliances, a center island with gas cook top and a dining counter for 4. The adjacent dining room has seating for 6, enjoy the protected outdoor patio off the kitchen with a three tiered cascading stone waterfall, a large stainless steel gas BBQ, a teak dining table for 6 and separate conversation area with seating for 4.
Centrally located and a 5 minutes drive to either the upper or lower Villages of Montecito both with unique restaurants and chic shopping, Butterfly beach and the Four Season Hotel and Spa, and the Coral Casino. The SB Zoo, downtown Santa Barbara and harbor are all within a 10 minute or less drive.
There are two distinct commercial areas of Montecito: the upper village and lower village. In the upper village, a small shopping area between San Ysidro Road and Santa Angela Lane, contains, grocery store, post office, store, bookshop, art gallery photo shop, two jewelry shops, hair salons & fragrance shops, a brokerage firm, drugstore, coffee shop, antiques, architects, cheese shop, clothing & houseware boutiques, and three Italian restaurants. The lower village is home to the Biltmore Four Season, Coral Casino, Butterfly Beach and many exclusive restaurants is indeed the hub of this unique community.

We really enjoyed our second stay in Montecito (weekend April 23). It's so special to be in such luxury up there, and we really had a terrific time. Looking forward to our next stay!

My husband and I stayed at this gorgeous home for our anniversary. The property itself is beautifully maintained and the view of the coastline is breathtaking. We explored Santa Barbara and enjoyed driving through the Montecito area, and eating and shopping in the villages. We had such a great time there, we plan on going back this year, but we are going to take our family!

I just returned home from this hidden gem just off the beaten path in beautiful Montecito and I'm not quite sure where to begin. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the property, as the photos do not even do it justice. This is truly a luxury home in every sense of the word. The property is gorgeous, tasteful, spacious, well equipped and has some of the most stunning views I have ever seen. The floor-plan, high beamed ceilings and outdoor space make this three bedroom home look and feel much larger. Each of the bedrooms and bathrooms are located in completely different areas of the house so privacy is not a concern. The amenities and appliances are all top of the line and the landscaping is equally as impressive. There are so many interesting nooks and crannies where you can lounge, sunbathe or just take in the stunning views. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet and just a 5 minute drive down the hill is the charming village of Montecito. We are already talking about making it an annual trip!
