Reviews for this vacation cottage rental in Savary Island, British Columbia, Canada
Perfect for small kids

The best thing about this place is that, unlike many vacation rentals, the owners actually spend a lot of time here. This means the furniture and beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, there's an amazing DVD collection, and everything works! If you're travelling with young children, this place is especially awesome as it comes with lots of baby gear - which means less to schlep with you on the water taxi. Plus, unlike a lot of Savary homes that are on high bank or on the beach, this one is not, which means no worries about steep cliffs or water.lus the owners are super lovely and responsive..

We came to Savory for a family wedding. My niece worked very hard on finding everyone accommodations and booked quite a bit of the island I assume. The cottage we stayed in (Giggling Prawn ?) was very nice and quite well equipped but the open ceiling concept is a very bad idea, especially for a rental property. Absolutely no privacy in the bedrooms or bathroom. There should also be some battery storage power. Everyone one else we talked to only had to run the generator for an hour or so in the morning and that lasted most of the day if not the whole day. We had to turn the generator on every time we needed to do something. Found it very inconvenient. And for the price paid , which was quite similar to most others, we weren't impressed with the lack of upgrades. We still had an amazing time and will return to Savory but will look at other accomodations. Sorry to say, nice place but needs certain upgrades.

This property was exactly as Lisa, the owner, described, and suited our family's needs perfectly. We are a family of five, with three teens, and we lived comfortably in the cabin for the week. The layout makes it very easy to use and enjoy. The wood stove was a welcome amenity during our one rainy day, and the hammock on the beach-side deck was a favourite haunt for all in the warmer weather. The bikes made it easy to get around the island, and everyone loved the outdoor shower, which is beautifully built. Many thanks to Lisa for her considerate and resourceful orientation to the cabin and the island. She makes it easy to rent!
