not happy

September 19, 2012

We were not pleased with mistral 22. Walking up and down three flights of steps to get to your condo can become quite taxing day in and day out. Especially trying to carry luggage, beach chairs, umbrella, towels, etc. There were two bathrooms, one up and one downstairs. Only one bathroom had a shower! To get to the master suite upstairs, you had to climb a spiral staircase. Forget taking a suitcase up with you. It was the nicest of the two bedrooms, but there wasn't a shower, so you had to go back down the stairs to take one in the bathroom downstairs. The condo has bedding for six people. That would be six people waiting in line to take a shower after spending the day at the beach! Another frustrating thing was, we had ants all week. After calling to report it, the condo was sprayed a day later and that did not eliminate the problem. We didn't use the balcony at all. The view of the ocean was very nice There are a lot of steps to walk down to the beach. For that area, that seems to be the norm. I would not stay at mistral again. There were too many things wrong. I guess you have to chalk it up to a "lesson learned" for the next time. The weather was beautiful!

Nice place but over crowded

August 6, 2012

The unit was beautiful but we had to fight to get a place on the beach. I had mentioned that we were looking for a place less crowded than destin when I made the reservation and was not told that it would be even more packed. The beach was also never cleaned the whole time we were there. The seaweed was awful. I understand that is impossible to control, but had the beach been combed I wouldn't have had to sit on it and could have taken better pictures. We made the best of it and still had a great time. Thank you

Our first time to Seagrove! Condo pluses: easy access to beach, parking, beautiful view and comfy beds. Cons: kitchen and bathrooms needed total updating very badly! No rugs in the whole unit on tile floors. internet connection was not good.
