Spacious, clean, relaxing
October 2, 2014
Check in was awful. Very disorganized, and after traveling 8 hours from home, we were told the condo was rented to someone else. After the office staff (terribly rude and bad mouthing the property owners) figured it out and we got our keys, the rest of our time was perfect! Spacious, clean, so close to the beach. Our special needs daughter was able to handle the stairs to the beach fine, and our typical boys thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach having my coffee. Pool time was nice. Wish they had a hot tub. Activity room with pool table and ping pong table was fun. We enjoyed using the sauna as well. Close to restaurants and stores. Overall a great experience.

NOT Oceanfront, 6th & 7th beds, 4th bath, LOCKED.
August 19, 2014
This is NOT an ocean front house. It is one block away, behind two other rows of houses. You can see a tiny view of the ocean from some rooms, but "oceanfront" is a lie. While it wasn't advertised to us as a 7 bedroom, 4 bath house, this would be terrible for anyone expecting that configuration. There were 2 "bedrooms" one regular sized, with an attached teeny seventh "bed" room and a bathroom in the basement. These rooms were completely locked and inaccessible to us, only visible through windows in the backyard. The overall layout of this house has 4 bedrooms on the main level, with 2 full baths, and a bedroom for "kids" upstairs with a half bath worked well for our group. The living room was adequate, the dining room was small, and the kitchen was teeny. The 4 main bedrooms were adequately sized, with hardwood floors. Sound traveled terribly through the house, so it was difficult for the early-to-bed set. The proximity and access to the beach was great. Only one block, with only small dunes to walk through. Ultimately, our group decided to give this house two stars mostly because of the poor furnishings and functioning in the house. There were drainage problems in one shower, and water pressure issues in the other. There was NO WIFI, which we all felt is a standard these days. The kitchen supplies (plates, flatware, pots, pans) were minimal/not in great shape, the oven was teeny and didn't register temperature accurately, the coffee maker was partially broken when we arrived and totally broke partway through our trip, the dryer (you are expected to laundry) required multiple cycles to dry anything and vented into the basement (not outside). The dishwasher did a poor job of washing dishes (yes, we pre-washed). The electricity was not grounded in all parts of the house (difficult to find spots to plug in anything with three prongs). There were NO baby items (pack and play, high chair, toys) and there were no chairs to sit and relax outside. Even basic things were missing like kitchen sponges, dish soap, cleaning spay (for counter tops). Overall, we all felt that while the layout of the house was ok and the proximity to the beach was great, we would have given a much higher rating if the house had been better equipped. We even ended up purchasing some things (kitchen scrubber, dish soap) ourselves. We rented a house through a different company in Seaside last year, and had a completely different experience with a fully equipped hous

Seaside 1637 S Prom Weekend
October 1, 2013
We were very pleased with the home we rented for the weekend. Everything was so nice, clean and a very nice set up. We had a bit of trouble finding the home and it took a bit of detective work to finally find our way in. Nice easy walk to the beach. Love the lock box idea for entry.
Escolar state park home

It was a nice place but needs a lot of work done to it and when we first got there, there was moldy food in the fridge that we had to dispose of but the management team was really awesome and gave me my cleaning fee back for getting rid if it! Would totally stay there again
Perfect home for our family!
August 15, 2013
This home provides space for everyone to be together... or not! With 3 floors there is room to spread out, and there was plenty of space in the large family room to also hang out together. The kitchen is updated and well stocked. There are 4 bathrooms in this home, and all are nice. If I had anything negative to say about this home, it would be that there was no hose outside to rinse sandy feet. The location is 1 block from the beach, and a short few blocks to city center. We didn't need to drive anywhere the whole time we stayed here. We will definitely stay here again.

Dream Escape a true dream
July 29, 2013
This house worked out perfectly for our family, we 12 people ages ranging from 11 to 73. The house is beautifully decorated and had all the items we needed to prepare our meals. It does not have direct access to the beach but we asked the little hotel next door and they allowed us to use their steps (at our own risk) so it really wasn't an issue. The house has wonderful views from the kitchen/dining room area as well as the family room and upstairs bedroom. I slept on the murphy bed and thought it was very comfortable. A great house to have your Ocean Dream Escape.

lovely yet comfortable home that provides all the items a family needs for a easy get-away. It was a great location for seeing the northern Oregon coast, especially the Lewis and Clark historical sites that were on our agenda. Although there is no beach view, it was lovely to watch the sun rise and set over the dunes. Everything was available in the kitchen for a easy seafood feast and we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. The path was convenient, although the last descent to the beach was a bit of a challenge for my mom and her knees. But it was a short way for the car beach access to get her to the beach easily.

A group of 9 ladies got together for a 50th birthday. We had a wonderful time and the place was perfect We all had plenty of space and was nice that we could all be together in the same place. We loved getting up and walking on the beach with our coffees, cooking meals together and close to the downtown shopping and lunch spots. Perfect! and thank you so much.

A Week at the Little House
June 27, 2010
With one exception, the "Little House" at Seaside had it all--great location, comfort and convenience, everything needed for a wonderful seaside vacation. Almost everything, that is: the beds were NOT good. The mattreses are old and saggy; they all need replacing. My daughter-in-law wound up sleeping in a chair in the livingroom.(There was no sofa she could sleep on, only love seats.) Others slept on the floor. If this one 'negative' were to be corrected (replace the saggy mattresses with firm, comfortable ones), we would really like to vacation at the "Little House" again.

Our family, wife, 4 kids and myself, truly enjoyed our stay. My wife and I loved our bedroom looking out over the ocean. The home is far enough away from town to be quiet, but easy walk to town. The only suggestion would be to replace toaster and have a better supply of toilet paper and paper towels. We will be back next year. Thanks, Brett and Family

Other than the weather which rained constantly it was so nice to spend some time with our whole family including our new granddaughter. It was especially nice that o one was using the other half of the home so our noise didn't bother anyone.

The house was very nice; beds were comfortable and everything well-equipped. The fireplace did not work, however, and when reading the guest book, I noticed guests in March said it wasn't working then, either. Perhaps the owners are not aware. We hope to return next year and will definitely book the house if it is available!

Wonderful house on the beach. Plenty of room. Beautiful view from master bedroom. Very helpful property manager. Large, soft towels and plenty of them. Plenty of dishes, pots, pans, silverware. Excellent place to stay and play. Would highly recommend this again.
Beautiful Ocean view
October 13, 2009
Great location. Easy access to the beach. Kitchen was large ,bright and well equiped. Needed to spread a little charm to third floor bedroom. Some brochures and menus from local restaurants would have been helpful. Unfortunatly their was a sea lion dying on the beach for days which caused a huge media stir. Locals very upset that nothing was done for the poor animal.
Our New Tradition
August 10, 2009
This is an absolutely amazing house. From the master suite, you can see the beach and ocean. A wonderful site to wake up to. The other rooms were equally nice and comfortable. From our experience, we decided to start a new tradition for our family: a yearly reunion every year at this house.

Relaxing weekend getaway for a group of friends!
May 27, 2009
Wonderful location and beautiful home. Well kept and a 2 second walk to the beach out your front door! I do wish they would have let us know that you have to go through the double bedroom to get to the 3rd floor with the two twin beds and double.
Weekend get away
May 20, 2009
We had a great family weekend get away! The house was conveniently located near town with an ocean view from upstairs. The weather was beautiful - we could not have asked for more. We will be back!
Needs lots of renovations
March 22, 2009
We rented this house for 2 years in a row and liked it the first year but the second year was a different story. The furniture is old and worn down. Comfy chairs in the roomy master had been removed leaving no place to sit. Although on the ocean front you can't see the water when sitting down on one of the 2 chairs or broken down sofa. Kitchen equipment and utensils sadly lacking. Shower curtains torn and moldy. We do not recommend this house.

The Best Way to Enjoy Seaside
November 10, 2008
We've been coming to Seaside for over 10 years, staying in hotels and rental homes, yet this is the first time we stayed at the Little's House. This little beach house must be stayed in to be appreciated. Right on the Prom, the Little's House is well-appointed, comfortable, not-at-all-tacky and worth the price of rental. Rental homes often tend toward sleazy decor and slimy bed linens. Not this house! Cozy, nicely located and even well-stocked with kitchenware--this just became the only place we'll rent in Seaside from now on.

We three 1962 college roommates plan a trip every year together. We stayed in the Little's House on the Prom this year. It was a comfortable and welcoming nest for discoveirng the Oregon Coast. Awesome roaring waves and views; great walk on promenade to downtown Seaside; good location for day trips. Clean, comfortable, user friendly. We loved it.
September 3, 2008
The location is great. The house was a bit rustic and a little tight for the seven us. Perhaps a full couch and a loveseat would provide more sitting room for larger groups. But the access to the beach and the price created an overall experience that both overshadowed the negatives. I recommend it.
August 26, 2008
This was an older home, but it was in a very good location - on the beach. It had everything we needed for our week's stay. The cost was very reasonable.

The house the experience was worth it all, me and my family having been staying in seaside fir three years and will continue to do so Thanks
April 15, 2008
We went on an amazing weekend. The house was perfect. Felt just at home. Very spacious, first time renting a beach house. We weren't disapointed. Will def. come back next spring!! Perfect distance to beach. Only thing that bothered me was having to pay 75 cleaning fee when we were suppose to clean up house before we left. Didn't make sense.
WOW ! WOW ! WOW !
March 25, 2008
We have stayed in several homes along the coast and this on has been by far the BEST !!! The home is gorgeous and charmong. Everything we needed was there and all we had to do was fill it up with groceries. In Seaside we were able to go to many other places for "day trips" as Seaside was centrally located . We are going to reserve for next year at the same time!
February 11, 2008
This was one of the easiest, and most relaxing vacations ever! Spacious and affordable. We were able to bring our dog for a nominal fee. Right on the water and the Seaside Promonade. We're heading back again in June and can hardly wait!

Great Ocean Getaway
October 11, 2007
This house was more spacious than I originally thought. It is an older home, but clean. Very good for the money. Just a small walk across the prom and there is the ocean. Great view from one of the bedrooms and the living room. I would recommend it.
Oops. Wrong property
October 9, 2007
We wanted to stay at #80, but it wasn't available. We actually stayed on Beach Drive. The house was wonderful - just right for our 2 teenage girls, 87-year old Dad and 20-something son. It was just a few blocks to town and around the corner from the beach. We enjoyed it thoroughly. It was just a smidge skimpy on kitchen utensils and there was no BBQ. We usually BBQ at the beach. Nice decks front and rear. Very comfortable.
DON'T rent this property
October 30, 2005
I had an agreement with the owner to rent thsi property over Thaqnksgiving weekend. I mailed the deposit as agreed. One month later I had received no confirmation, so I emailed asking what happened. I learned the propery wsa rented because my deposit was not received. The owner "tried" to call me, but my phone was "disconnected." I have had the same phone for 12 years. She "lost" me email address. Now my family's plans are ruined. An honest explanation would have gone a long way instead of this lame series of excuses. Don't get caught.
