Description of the Seattle vacation home rental
Full water and mountain views from newly constructed 4000 square foot, 3 floor Seattle property. 10 min to Downtown, Pike Place Market, Space Needle, South Lake Union (Amazon & Microsoft), neighborhood coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, 650 acre nature reserve, swimming pool, and beach. Enjoy sunshine and mountain/water views from huge front porch, a fenced in back yard with fire pit, bbq, and outdoor seating for 12-14 people.

Free and ample parking in front of the house. City bus line stops directly across the street. Downtown Seattle, Seattle Center, and South Lake Union are 10 minutes by car, 20 minutes by bus. Hi-speed wireless and FULL cable (HBO/Showtime/ESPN/NFL/MLB Networks, etc.).

The 1st (street level) floor has a 1300 square foot apartment with an open floor plan, a marble bathroom, large walk-in shower, dining table for 6-8 people, kitchenette (full size side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, butcher block table, utensils, chef's knives, plates, cups/glassware, mixing bowls, coffee/tea maker, etc.) and sleeps up to 7 (or more if there are children). If additional room is needed, guests may reserve another bedroom on the same floor which has cable tv and a powder room.

The 2nd (main) floor has an outdoor FRONT deck (facing southwest) which is 266 s/f long and has seating, an outdoor fireplace, and overlooks the Puget Sound & Olympic Mountains. You will enter inside from the deck into a very large (1400 square feet) "Grand Room" with two full-sized linen couches, "couples" overstuffed chairs with ottomans, huge window seat, gas fireplace, game table with games, stereo, turntable, Blu-Ray DVD, and over 100 dvds & CDs, On-Demand Movies, PlayStation, iPod docking station, and flat screen television. On the back of the house is a gourmet kitchen, exquisite maple dining table that seats 4 to 14 people. French doors off the dining room lead outside to a covered BACK porch with BBQ and the backyard which has a large outdoor patio, outdoor seating for up to 14 people, and a large fire pit.

The 3rd (top) floor has two (2) bedrooms; each sleeps two adults. Large, vaulted-ceiling master marble bathroom located in-between the two bedrooms. Laundry room has front-loading washer, dryer, iron & board, and a deep utility sink. Each room can accommodate 2 adults and one or two children.

Vacationers have the option of renting 1-3 floors. Rates vary in accord with space rented and season. Absolutely no smoking, drugs, unlawful conduct permitted on premises. Pets must be pre-approved upon booking and are permitted on a case-by-case basis and / or are on site.

REQUIREMENT TO RENT: This is a luxury property. Please treat the property, furniture, and furnishings as you would your own home. At time of reservation, the paying guest must provide valid, government issued identification and be not less than 21 years old at time of confirming a reservation. If a guest(s) younger than 21 years of age are on the property the guests(s) reserving the home must be present on the property during the entire time such under-age guest(s) is present.

PAYMENT: PayPal is the preferred method of payment because it protects both the Guest and Host. Because not everyone uses PayPal, a cashier's check or money order may be used for payment if Host approves in advance and the payment is received on the date payment is due.

RESERVATIONS, RATES, DEPOSITS & PAYMENT SCHEDULE: To secure your reservation a deposit equal to 20% of your total rental (not including cleaning fee) must be paid within two (2) days of your receipt of invoice. The remaining balance is due a week later.
If your reservation is made less than 30 days prior to your check-in, 100% payment is due upon receipt of invoice.

1. If you cancel your reservation and we are able to re-book your dates all of the monies paid by you are refundable except for $100 and any PayPal fees incurred by Owner.
2. Upon receipt of the Deposit required to secure a reservation those monies are non-refundable. If full balance is not paid by the due date all reserved dates will be given to another guest and no monies will be refunded.
3, Although we have never had to cancel, we refund all monies paid if Owner cancels.

CLEANING & DEPOSIT INFORMATION: Your invoice will itemize your cleaning and deposit amounts. There is no maid service. Cleaning charge is $140-$280. Security deposits start at $500 and depend upon length of stay & number of guests.
Area Information
Magnolia is one of the "Top Three" most beautiful neighborhoods in Seattle. Conveniently located within 10 minutes of all of Seattle's main attractions, shopping & business districts. The ball stadiums are 15 minutes by car.

The house is located 4 blocks from Discovery Park, Seattle's largest park (635 acres) and nature reserve. Enjoy hiking, biking, tennis, basketball, kids' playgrounds, walking trails to the light house, large public pool with giant slide, and beautiful beaches for exploring. Venture out of town and take an alpine hike, fish, or go white water rafting in the nearby Cascade or Olympic Mountains.

Have a wonderful day or night on the town, wine tasting, or enjoying the great outdoors then come back to a beautiful, peaceful house and behold a spectacular sunset over the Puget Sound & Olympic mountains.

Magnolia has the best public pool with water slide for the kids, five star restaurants, pizza parlors, shopping, grocery, and is less than 10 minutes from Seattle's Pike Place Market, Aquarium, movie theaters, driving range with a 9 hole, and miniature golf, etc. The zoo is 15 minutes, as is Lake Union where you can sail, boat, dine on the water,etc.

This home was a lovely place to stay while visiting Seattle! The owner, Jan, went out of her way to accommodate our party of six, including a baby and a toddler. The home is stunning and is located in a beautiful area with easy access to all the places we were interested in visiting. One difference we found from the previous rental by owner we had used was the fact that Jan lives in the home while you are there. This was not uncomfortable in the least, as she definitely gives you your "space", while being very gracious, friendly, and attentive to your needs. There are two dogs and a cat living in this home, but they are kept in a separate area, so no bother at all. (Just a "heads up" in case of allergies.). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home and would definitely stay here again! Thanks again for everything, Jan!!

The property is spacious, comfortable, and convenient to get to all the Seattle hotspots. The owner is friendly, helpful, and extremely gracious! We were provided with lists of things to do and local places to go. The location has neighborhood look and beauty, but has a city feel with its city accessibility and proximity to stores. Water is visible from the property, and great sights of the city skyline and Puget Sound can be experienced from an extremely short drive or walk. We were able to make convenient day trips to Orcas Island and Olympia National Park. Mt St Helens and Rainier are accessible as well.
