Reviews for this vacation home rental in South Portland, Maine
Comfortable & convenient!
September 11, 2013
The location was very convenient. It was easy for everyone to get downtown. The house is roomy-we had 8 adults & no one got in anyone's way. There was enough personal space. The proximity of the beach is great! The information regarding points of interest & restaurants in the area was most helpful. We enjoyed bagels from "scratch" bakery. I would recommend this rental. I wish that the beds would have had top sheets, but the cleanliness was appreciated. The owner was very helpful & answered questions immediately. For instance -we got lost & he stayed with us on the phone until we arrived at the house.

Three generations of our family, ten people, met for two weeks at this home. The large rooms accommodated us very well. The supply of kitchen utensils, bedding, towels, even paper products was very adequate. When temps reached the mid-nineties the air conditioners were very welcome. We used the outside grill several times and the spacious yard was great for kids play. Beach was wonderful and lots to do in the Portland area. Our only complaint was that a neighbor's van was parked most days at the dead end by the driveway making turning into the street or backing into the driveway impossible. We would highly recommend this home to anyone interested in a vacation near the beach.

Portland is the perfect getaway destination and this rental is absolutely the best. Beautiful home on a nice quiet dead end street with easy access into Downtown Portland. There is also a great beach within walking distance. Owners are very friendly and pleasurable to work with. Strongly recommend this rental. Couldn't have worked out better for me!

The photos do not give it justice. The home is very clean and spacious. We loved having the pool table. Master bedroom and bath was a great place for all of the ladies to get ready for a wedding. Views are awesome. Two minute walk to Willard Beach. Beautiful lawn with plenty of room for large family gatherings.

Spacious but Drab, a Beautiful Spot!
August 25, 2010
First the good, even great, news! The house is a very short walk to a lovely beach. It is beautifully situated in a very private cul du sac. The house itself a spacious and more or less comfortable, three good-sized bedrooms. But:depessing decor more or less throughout;industrial carpeting everywhere, drab furniture (the dining room tables a hoot!)& a second bathroom on the first floor, far from the rooms it's supposed to serve, make it a bit less than ecstatic experience & make one carp a bit at the 1,700+ price tag. Still, I actually would go there again, amazingly; for despite the "railroad-flat" layout, it's capacious and wonderfully situated! Also, the renting agent is very sweet, efficient, and there when needed.Important!
Relaxing and fun vacation

We stayed at the Liberty Builder Home for a weekend. The upstairs master bedroom and family room were sweet and comfortable. Our son played pool, and we took a ride on the bikes. The walk down to Willard's Beach was easy, and very beautiful. There is a spot there where the waves crash gently on to the rocks that I can only call "little heaven". We took the recommendation and had dinner at the Good Table Restaurant, and then strolled down along the beach at Two Lights. Great food, and great air. Highly recommend for a family or two to vacation together.
This home was the perfect fit!... The location seems great and close to the Old Port (where we spent most of our time)... very clean and had all the comforts of home. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
What a wonderful week we enjoyed here!... We still left things undone and will have to return. Thank you for sharing your home, I hope we can visit again. June 4, 2012
