Property includes large paved driveway and one-car garage.
Our home is within 2 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway, one hour from Asheville and Hickory. Spruce Pine is well-known for its precious stones and minerals and is home of the Gem Festival held right here in Spruce Pine, NC the last week of July - first week of August. There are many gem mines throughout the area to test your skills in mining. Many restaurants are located in our city that will satisfy any taste, including Stuarts on the Green located here on the golfcourse. If you like BBQ there are a couple of festivals held in our downtown streets. Many local Mexican restaurants located here as well as down the mountain in Marion, just 30 minures away. There are also tours of many potterys throughout Mitchell, Yancy and Avery county, including the Nationally renouned Penland School of Art which was featured in June issue of Our State Magazine. While you are here you must take advantage of downtown Spruce Pine that features many antique stores, southwest style home furnishings, pottery items made by local artists. And lets not forget the whistle sound of the train as it's travels through. The area here is beautiful and peaceful and will refuel your spirit.
