Reviews for this vacation home rental in State College, Pennsylvania

We were warmly welcomed by the owner. This is a lovely location to stay with beautiful scenery. We searched for a location near State College which would be approximately midway for our married children to join us for a family retreat. This was the perfect place! We have stayed at two other places as a family, but since our family has grown, we needed more sleeping accommodations. Compared to our stays elsewhere, this one was the best! The biggest surprise was that everything was just as described only better. The fresh flowers on the table were an added bonus. We greatly enjoyed our stay and definitely want to return again.

This property was everything we wanted and more! Beautiful view from the front porch, plenty of room for our two families (4 adults, 7 kids) to sleep. Owner lives down the lane and checked in with me to make sure we were enjoying ourselves--and we were! Will absolutely come back again. Highly recommend this property to large family coming to Happy Valley.

A year ago we started looking for a place to stay for my son's college graduation. We realized we didn't want to be in a hotel for the whole weekend and we stumbled across this cabin. From the pictures it looked perfect. But it was even better when we arrived. The family that we rented from, was extremely nice. There was fresh flowers on the table, clean towels hanging in the bathroom. All the nice details just made us feel so comfortable. The property was just gorgeous. To be away from the town, but yet still close enough to do things, is the way to go. We can't wait to use this again, especially when my daughter graduates in 3 years. Thanks for an amazing weekend!

My family gathered in this charming cottage for Penn State's Blue/White Weekend and to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 10. The owners graciously provide all linens and towels so that we didn't have to add those things to our packing list. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The view from the porch is spectacular. Unfortunately, the weather was too cold to enjoy sitting outside very much. Maybe next time.....

Great stay with freinds

We had 6 people stay at the house for an off weekend. House was plenty big enough for all of us. Set in the woods. Big kitchen and living room. Firepit located outside. If your up to it you could walk the trail and be downtown in 2 hours, if not its about a ten minute drive. The only thing was that there werent any shades/curtains in the bedrooms, but if you get up early or dont mind a little light coming in its not a problem. Renter was extremely nice, got back to us right away, and was very accommodating.Great place to stay. I would definitely do it again.

Our family of 9 needed a place to stay in State College for our daughter's wedding and this place was just perfect. Everyone had a great time and it was so much better than being cooped up in motel rooms. The place was clean, organized and stocked with all the cooking and eating utensils that we needed. We saved a bunch of money and it was just a great environment for members of our family, some who had never met. The view was beautiful and relaxing. We'll never forget this place. The only downside is that I doubt we would ever find an excuse to return.
We can't wait to come back!

This cabin was perfect for Family weekend at Penn State. The cabin is nice and roomy and very clean. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the views. Loved sitting outside on the porch with coffee in the morning and making s'mores on the fire pit at night. We had a nice big family dinner with our kids and having the room for them to sleep over made the trip that much better. the owners live right up the lane so anything you needed, they were available and very nice. What a great alternative to a stuffy hotel room with no room! This was one of the best long weekends we have had in a long time! The kids really enjoyed themselves too.
